While explicit game details were not unveiled, 2K Boston has confirmed that the cutscene is legitimate, and that players can unlock it by beating BioShock on any difficulty level.

Is that a Little Sister?

I didn't beat the game (had to stop around Arcadia), but I plan to. I love it to death, but I wouldn't call it a franchise game. The story seems too self contained to me. I don't see it expanding in a Resident Evil kind of sense. Still I didn't finish the game so I don't know (and don't spoil it).

From a storyline standpoint, a sequel may not be a good idea. But from a business perspecive, they'd be stupid not to.

I beat the game and got the "good" ending. Trailer really doesn't give me much to work with on what Valve got cooking.

Looks like we sit back and wait for more info.

It was rumored earlier that Bioshock 2 could be a prequel. The sub-title seems like a pretty good indication that this is true.

I hope it isn't a prequel. I mean, the concept of Ryan and Rapture was amazing. Loved it.

But I'd rather see the story progress than regress back into the past.

That is, of course, considering it gets done well. But if it's half as good as the first one...

All the developers I have heard talk about it have mentioned it being a prequel.

I have yet to play the first game so I have no clue how it ends but from talk im assuming that it really doesnt leave anything open for a second. I guess I should play this...its been sitting on my shelf for about 4 months now.
