-It's being reported that WWE has signed several names from Ohio Valley Wrestling including Ryan Reeves, Chris Cage and Gavin Garrison. Although WWE severed ties with Ohio Valley Wrestling a while back, the company still views the organization as a good resource for talent.

As Nick Paglino noted earlier, f4wonline.com reported several "new" signings by WWE of guys from OVW...these are not, in two out of three cases, new signings rather they are re-signings as both "Silverback" Ryan Reeves & Chris Cage (Kristopher Pavone) were under previous WWE development deals and were released.

Cage was released from WWE in March 2005 for what were said to be disciplinary reasons. While in OVW he was an OVW Champion & teamed with the Miz.

Reeves was released from WWE in January 2007. Reeves release followed a wellness violation. Reeves appeared in Tough Enough 4, and was signed thereafter. He was 1st assigned to Deep South Wrestling then moved to OVW. In OVW he wrestled in single competition and teamed with Jon Bolan as High Dosage (questionable name at best).

I bet you thought of Christian Cage, right?

Huzzah for the Silverback!!

... so that guy with the big upper body from Tough Enough 4 is gonna get another shot in the WWE? Or are you talkin about that Silverback guy with pink hair who knocked out some no name Elite EX guy Kammo, or Kombo or something like that? :shifty:

I'm surprised they re-hired Reeves. He was my favourite from Tough Enough 4 (I think it was that one), but he failed so many wellness tests, I believe. One role I'd like to see him in, though, is muscle for John Morrison & The Miz.

Chris Cage is a pretty decent talent, I believe, if nothing special. I remember a team he had going with Nova in OVW called "Adrenaline," or something. The WWE should totally re-hire Mike Bucci back as a wrestler.

I do not know anything about this Gavin Garrison fellow, though. His name is probably too similar to Gavin Spears'. On the bright side, they can just switch it up and call him Garry Gavinson.
