Interesting that they think Santino v has-beens is more important than Shelton Benjiman

Everyone but Noid, Discuss.

It may have something to do with the fact that they looked at the card and said, wait a second, its Shelton Benjamin and R-Truth...

Possible. But it is a little old how everything not main event is such an after thought.

I honestly dont know who R-Truth is. Never seen him. Ofcourse i havent watched wrestling since Summerslam. Is he someone new or is he someone old with a new name and gimmick?

R-Truth is K-Kwik/K-Krush/Ron "the Truth" Killings. He wrestled for WWE back in the day with Road Dogg, got released, turned up in TNA when it was starting up. Now he is back in WWE. He has the same basic gimmick he has always had.

lol did they even try to come up with a better name? R-Truth? Was B-False taken? You know you're a jobber when theres a hyphen in your name.

Was this the match that was streamed live in wwe.com?

I remember hearing it advertised on Smackdown as Benjamin v Truth/MVP/Festus and I aslo remember them saying something about something being streamed on wwe.com. I also think I heard something about it being on a pre-PPV edition of Heat (if they still have those!?).

Basically, I wasn't paying much attention, expected to see the match (which I imagine would have been decent) and then thought I'd manage to sleep through it - although that would have meant that the match took place somewhere during the Taker v Show match!!

So Taker v Bigshow was boring? Taker needs to retire.

When did the PPV end?

Technically, WWE gets until 5 of for their PPVs. If it ended before 10:45 there's no reason they couldn't have shoved this on the PPV, even if they did it without entrances and cut right to a promo afterwards.

I remember times when good matches were reserved for ppvs. The only disadvantage of all tri brand ppvs is that potential talents get over shadowed. I believe the wwe is aiming only to make big cash out of ppvs. And there is nothing wrong with that though. Personally I believe the wwe should give more time to the new talents rather than having Jericho, Michaels, Batista, Cena and the other top dogs make more than one appearance on a single night on Raw.

Even without the tri brands they'd still be showcasing their biggest draws (or what they believe are their biggest draws). The WWE has too much big-name talent and in the long run it's going to hurt them. The brand split helps, which is why I think it's mandatory with the size of WWE's roster, but on non-brand specific PPVs you rarely get a proper undercard.

I miss single brand PPVs. Were they stopped because of the failure of the ECW PPV? Because surely that could be solved by promoting the merger between ECW and Smackdown by having them on one PPV and Raw on another? Just made more sense to me when the brands are kept seperate for the most part until a show like Mania or a supershow.

Agreed.

Well, not just the ECW PPV failing, but also because for a while all the talent was on Raw, and Smackdown only PPV's couldn't draw for shit.

ECW and Experience are the only wwe shows I watch...if I have time. I stopped watching Smackdown recently after La Familia main evented every fucking night either bitching about Taker or getting their ass kicked.

R-Truth is difficult to listen to and Benjamin is still Harcore Holly in my eyes. Neither one needs to be on ppv. Or tv.

It's "entertainment." Not wrestling. Not even sports.

This is a frustrating time to be a WWE fan.

So Taker v Bigshow was boring?
I dunno if I am allowed to pass judgement as I missed most of it, however, feel free to take the following into consideration...

1) It must have been 2am by the time that match drew to a close.

2) The 2 mates I was watching with also fell asleep.

As for the talk of Tri-Brand PPVs, I was considering this myself the other day, how the tag teams are getting a decent push on TV at the moment (well on Raw anyway) but never get on the PPV cards. This also goes for the likes of Benjamin, Truth, MVP, etc.

Then I watched a few of the single brand PPVs from a couple years ago. They were pretty much single (or maybe 2) match shows. You'd have your main event and then a bunch of stuff that the average fan wouldn't give a shit about.

I'd like to see some kind of middleground though.

Taker vs Big Show was the best LMS match I've seen since Jericho/Kane.

And I liked the single-brand PPVs, there were just too many of them.

Well, not just the ECW PPV failing, but also because for a while all the talent was on Raw, and Smackdown only PPV's couldn't draw for shit.

And because the oversaturation was hurting ALL of the PPVs. I mean, Raw less than Smackdown, and the multibrands less than the rest. They had to thin the herd.

They still are doing a few too many ppvs a year. If they just had one less a year, I think it would work out well.

Cyber Sunday should really go, and just have the interactive elements incorporated into other WWE shows.

Also, LOL @ BDC bitching.

I am very curious as to which part of the thread is BDC bitching.
