You get injured.

http://www.prowrestling.net/artman/publish/WWE/article1003276.shtml

Evan Bourne tore ligaments in his ankle during the six-man tag match that aired during Tuesday's ECW television show, according to Bill Behrens of WrestleZone.com. He was advised to stay off the ankle and could miss up to four months. However, he is hoping to make a faster recovery or work through the injury.

Yeah. Best to be someone who doesn't do a lot of high spots, like Batista or Nash or Triple H. Those guys never get injured.

Actually looking at Bourne last night, he looks like he could fit in both categories.

I was suprise that Rey isn't injured after Monday with Borne when he fucked up the rope jump.

I figure next injury Rey gets, he might as well hang it up because he injures himself with in 3 months of returning every time.

Nooooooo. But, yeah I guess though he had to get injured sometime. Though he seems to know of what hes doing to rarely get injured. Hope he isnt gone for too long since he is one of the best things going on ECW imo.

They only get injured carrying talentless spot monkeys to quality matches.

I always thought that it was pretty amazing that Jeff doesn't fuck up his high-angle senton alot more than he does. Partly because it's hard to perform correclty, partly because he's been high for the better part of his career.

1. Someone else gets pushed
2. Usually, the return of the superstar is in an awesome fashion

Yeah, because supporting ROH is soooooooooo mainstream.

I hope Bourne is all good. He's been fantastic, even if his push makes me crave correct usage of Paul London. The fear is that Bourne will be out four months. If that's the case, they should just hype up a big return in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match next year.

Bad news really because he's in the midst of the biggest push he'll ever get. Fingers crossed the fickle nature of the WWE won't prevail when he returns because he's too talented to remain on solely on the ECW show.

watch for Paul London to return under the name of "Evin Born" and wrestle wearing the same tights as the original, but keeping his hair as is.

And watch no one notice the difference.

I think Bourne is awesome, and with his quickly developing fan base I feel pretty secure in saying that his push will continue upon his return. He took the votes at Cyber Sunday by a landslide, and during his match with Mysterio there were quite a few people chanting his name. The WWE most likely sees dollar signs there.

As far as him being a "spot monkey," people are going to piss and moan no matter what kind of wrestler comes through the curtain.

Each wrestler is going to appeal to different crowds. If you have a roster full of wrestlers who appeal to everyone you're basically going to have a roster full of the same wrestler. It will be like a live version of TNA Impact the Video Game.

So, is 'spot monkey' the new phrase for 'entertaining' then?

That's what it sounds like. What we need is some kind of graph or chart to show us exactly when somebody becomes a spot monkey. You know, like the charts that tell you whether or not you're obese?

I'm just curious. How many "holy shit" chants do you need per match to officially be considered a spot monkey? How many awesome moves do you have to hit to become a spot monkey?

Or, here's something that will throw a lot of people off. What if 2 out of 5 of a wrestlers matches contain enough awesome spots to push into the spot monkey bracket, yet the other 3 do not? Do we take all of the spots in that match and get a percentage rate of all 5 matches? Or, because there were more matches that were not spot monkey matches... would he still be considered normal?

Here's a really tough one. If a spot monkey went up to a temple to pray, making several stops along the way. Then, the next day two trains left two different spots. Exactly how would you manage to get all 3 hobbits and all 3 orcs on the other side of the river while avoiding becoming a spot monkey?

:-\
