Can't believe there wasn't a thread for this yet. I was anticipating it for a while.
Saw it finally. Loved it.

It's different than the "view-askewniverse movies", since it's a step in another direction. It was the perfect marriage of his classics, and his attempt to make new movies outside of that universe. Basically what Jersey Girl wanted to be, only raunchier.

The whole cast was incredible. It was pretty much what I wanted out of a Kevin Smith meets Seth Rogen comedy. Really liked it, even though I'm not sure if I'd place it up there with Clerks/Chasing Amy/etc or Knocked Up. Pretty close though.

Def gonna see it again, and probably like it more.

Anyone else see it yet?

Probably intentional. Judd Apatow movies are the big thing comedy-wise at the box office. They clean up.
Conversely, Kevin Smith movies have always been well recieved and popular among a loyal fanbase, but have NEVER fared well at the box office.

The Kevin Smith fans know this is his movie, and will be there so theres no real point in promoting it as a Kevin Smith movie. It doesn't draw very much, and anyone it would is already in the can. The marketing is to bring in the casual comedy moviegoer.
