They're really playing up the return of John Cena at Survivor Series with all of these "inspirational" video packages. Survivor Series is the place where screwjobs are legend.

I'm thinking they build up to Batista vs. Randy Orton for the World Title at Survivor Series, Cena does a run-in at the very end and costs Batista the belt, then beats him down with Orton. Cena joins Orton's stable and turns heel for the first time in 5 years. Then you have Cena, Orton and Generation Next to feud against Batista and CM Punk.

The seed is already in place with Batista being the one to put Cena out of action. Cena's motivation would be to stop Batista from taking over "his show."

Thoughts?

Cena sells shit, thus Cena shall stay shit.

Cena and Batista already have a built-in feud from Batista injuring Cena. He may cost Bats the title but I don't see him joining the stable. I would like to see a snapped, rogue Cena, pissed off at being booed from returning from two injuries and still being hated.

Its possible, sounds interesting.

However this is WWE we are talking about, they will ruin whichever angle they choose to do.

Cena's not coming back heel, not after all the return hype and shit.

If anything, they'll have Batista turn heel due to being pissed that Cena got all the attention even though Batista had the title.

Although admittedly, it's win-win in that either of them could benefit greatly from a heel turn. Much fresher.

A great way to do this (they won't) would to have him play oblivious. Keep the face character, but make it utterly obvious he's heel. Same promos, same humor, but he's up against Batista who treats him like he's a moron. Basically, he plays a parody of himself.

Eventually they can drop it completely and put him back in the thuggish character.

A Cena heel turn makes mucho sense.

Which is why it probably won't happen.

It's those damn merchandise sales, they don't want to jeopardize them. Fatcat bastards.
