For those who don't know the World Heavyweight Championship changed hands for the first time in a steel cage match last night on Raw. Whereas the older WWE Championship has yet to lose its steel cage virginity.

It's totally the belt's decision.

Might count as a spoiler. Just saying before people bitch at you.

KK is right about this being a spoiler, but it makes me very, very happy to hear this. I'm definitely going to mark out for Batista having the shortest official World Heavyweight Title reign of all-time. Plus, a second reign for Jericho makes me all tingly in the jiblets.

I wonder if Batista getting a pretty dud reaction last week is part of the course? That being said, I wish a long and lucrative reign for Jericho. Although, I'm sure it will end at Survivor Series.

I'm not going to say Cena isn't going to win at SS, because that looks likely, I'd jue like to point out how sure everybody was the second he came back at the Rumble that he would be champion at or before 'Mania, and that didn't happen.

Also I like to say things that suggest that Noid could end up being wrong.

So you like to state the overwhelmingly obvious?

Assuming Cena is going to win is the smart thing to do. Chances are you're right, but if on the off occasion you are wrong, you find relief in it. Hoping Jericho wins and then only to be disappointed when he doesn't is a twofer in the negatives.

You disagree? Are you suggesting the belt can't just DECIDE which way it's going to go?

So, is this the first time any world title has changed hands in a cage match a McMahon promotion?

If you don't count hell in a cell's, possibly. I can't think of an example of any other world title changing hands in a cage at any point.

As a matter of fact, I can't think of one changing hands in the cell. It's been defended in a few hell in a cells. Has it changed hands? I don't think it has

Elimination chambers would put that to rest though.

Going by Wikipedia, no.

And going by OWW, no cage match turnovers, either.
