So, In a bid to stick screw his wife out of his hulkamillions, Thunderlips has sold his trademarks and intelectual assets to Eric Bischoff, of all people.
I don't think there is any report on how much he paid or any of the details. Hogan's trademarks must be worth a ton of constant income from WWE alone.
He has to have some crazy agreement with Eric to get it back after the divorce for what it cost or something.
Talk it out.
I hope Bishoff does the right thing

I would love to know the agreement they have.
I think a pretty good angle could be worked from this as well....

It is trust I suppose. But I don't think Bischoff is in the position to benefit from stabbing him in the back as much as you think.
All of the Hulkamania video library and such belong to WWE.
Bascially, that means Bischoff likely only has rights to the name and the intellectual property that is Hulkamania. The problem is, without Hulk Hogan himself to shill it...it's not worth jack shit.
Bischoff could go appear somewhere as Hulk Hogan legally now, but he's not Terry Bolea so it doesn't work.
Since he owns the name, I suppose he'd get the money from WWE to use it, but WWE isn't going to use it without Bolea's involvement. What WWE will, and currently do use, is already theirs (the video library, the tshirts).

They could keep Hogan from working elsewhere under the name if WWE owned it. Hogan would be pretty fucked, because who's ever heard of "Terry Bollea"?

I have heard of Terry Bollea.
He really should work as Thunderlips, though. Or Rip whoever from No Holds Barred.

Instead of pythons, he can talk about the 24 inch Bollea constrictors. :shifty:

Oh God... I would consider selling considerable shares in my soul to Bischoff for him to turn around and sell those trademarks to Vince McMahon.

Something else I wonder, when approaching this seriously, isn't there some sort of thing with Marvel comics as well?

Didn't they renegotaite a few years ago, altering the deal in WWE's favor after some drama?
I ask because I don't know for sure. I SEEM to remember it.

It seems most sites are saying it includes virtually all of his various psudonyms, apart from 'The Immortal Hulk Hogan' as that belongs to Vince. His grill, energy drink and anything that is marketed with his name or likeness.
Because it is all trademarked, it means Hogan (now Bischoff) gets royalties from every WWE DVD sold he is on or apart of, every time one of those grills sells, every can of gross stuff, every time Hogan knows Best is re-run. It is worth millions a year in revenue, without having to lift a finger.
It was apparently sold for about what it is worth over 2 years. But nobody really knows that, except for it was at end of sale price. I didn't think you could sell assets during a divorce dispute, especially discounted.
And wasn't it suggested at the start of this that it is all a plan to deviate their millions, so it costs them less in the long run when the parents of the guy his son paralysed sue them?
