well, i for one was very disapointed by monday nights show. i had envisioned a show similar to the draft they did a couple years back. welp, last night, here's what i saw:
spent the first hour drafting people that no one gives a shit about and breaking up tag teams. the only major changes by the end of the show were the OBLIGATORY switches of HHH and RVD.
Rhyno vs. Benoit ............did anyone really think Rhyno would become world champion. the highlight of the show had to be HHH vs. Guerero, mainly because of the knowledge that if HHH had won I would have NEVER watched wwe again. and the melay at the end of the show did not make a whole lot of sense to me.
overall, a mediorcre show. and the lotto absolutley did NOT live up to it's hype. kinda felt like bait and switch to me

Hey, i liked the show. I didn't really care about the Rhyno/Teddy Long stuff but i'm sure that they'll turn it into something. Besides, the old brand stuff was pissing me off and Smackdown was sucking.

They're never gonna give Rhyno a chance to shine. :(

I think the draft was fine. HHH going to "the second rate show" (according to Vince and co.) was a huge surprise, but they mostly kept the people who have to stay in their correct places. Eddie, Cena, Taker, and the Cruisers stayed on SD!, which was what I was hoping for, and the seeds were also shown for a future possible invasion scenario or ECW type third brand/faction. You also had the return of Edge, whose switch to RAW was explained logically by the draft.
It was a solid show in my eyes, and the ending was great--high octane and exciting, the type of endings that were culminating shows during the high points of WWE television back in 1999.

mmkay. for me though, aside from HHH going to Smackdown, which I/we knew was going to happen-and of course Heyman quitting, no changes were made that will change the face of either show, except the tag team division will be even weaker. i mean, i dont see anybody that was traded on television ( other than HHH ) getting a sustained push or being involved in any interesting storylines, do you?

I loved the lottery
I feared that they were going to put everyone's name in a bin and then just draw out totally new rosters. IMO that would have sucked big time because its like saying "okay everything that happened in the last two years doesn't count, we're starting all over". It would have also killed any identity the two shows had.
The way they did it was logical, and it set up new feuds on boths shows, while also giving Smackdown a much needed main event level heel.
In terms of being shocked, well if you weren't on the net all the time you wouldn't know what was going to happen. Seems to me that if you watch to be suprised you shouldn't hang out on a forum like this.
In terms of Hunter, I follow the sheets and nobody was saying for certain that HHH would be switching shows, if you happened to guess that, thats cool, but it wasn't a known fact going in. The known stuff was RVD for Edge, which happened, HHH was in fact somewhat of a shock.

I really didnt like the draft either. I thought they couldve done a whole lot better. I guess not alot of the main guys got trades since it was said that not alot of the wrestlers even wanted to change shows in the first place.

I give HHH 3 months before he has all the smackdown titles.

So you're saying that Shannon Moore is gonna be in Trip's new stable so that he can put Hunter on a banana juice diet for 2 of the three months to make weight for the CW belt???
he will probably win the tag titles by himself, he seems to be so unstoppable....besides, it was sarcasm.

Raw was good last night I just thought 12 members from each brand would be picked. Not to be 6 and 6.

It's so retarded that they put HHH back on Raw. Why not just draft somebody else in the first place, smackdown still sucks, and Raw will too with Rhyno and...Atrain. They accomplished nothing with the draft, another big day, with lots of hype, with no results. Kurt Angle as GM? WTF....Trades being made not on one of the shos, WTF? dropped ball yet again

Angle as GM could kick ass.

They wanted to make him look like he's really hot? Granted, who was traded? Booker (Who almost never goes anywhere) and the Dudleyz (blah), but still, they're trying to make him look big.

see. its like i said. draft lottery-meh. HHH is back on RAW. so what was accomplished by the draft lottery? the face of both shows remain the same. they should have just sent RVD to smackdown and not made a whole episode about it.
booker t is apparently going to get a push as a heel. booker t is one of the few wrestlers i prefer as a face. as a heel he is a joke. at any rate, i doubt that this will be a sustained push. probably we're talkin' one ppv. two max.
i think that there is better chemistry for RVD on smackdown. however, i am NOT an RVD fan. he is not entertaining to me. watching him is more like watching gymnastics than wrestling. and he looks like crap in the ring because he doesnt even sell his own offense. it's like he's sleepwalking in the ring.
and as for RAW, i like shelton benjamen. but i also liked benjamen and haas as a tag team. they were one of the few real tag teams in wwe. booker t and rvd, that aint a tag team, thats two mid-carders thrown together.
they got rid of the dudleys, who i personally cannot stand to watch, but they gained rikishi, who i also cannot stand to watch.
bottom line, i would have rather seen a 10 minute promo on each show about some 'trades' being made than a week of hype and build-up for what didnt amount to shit.

HHH moving to Smackdown and then back was totally pointless, I won't even bother taking too much time to voice my displeasure.

WTF is wrong with Rhyno, he's the man.
And Angle as GM is a great move IMO. It gives him time to rest his neck, whilst maintaining an on air role. Also, he's a great talker, and will play the role perfectly.

I want to see a GM stay with his job for a long time. Look at Bischoff, he's been GM for a really long time. I just think longevity makes it seem more "credible" as far as credibility goes in the wrestling world.

All I know is there wasn't very many wrestlers who changed. They made it seem like HHH changed and it was a huge deal, and then all of a sudden he's traded back to Raw. Kind of defeats the purpose of the lottery, doesn't it? Sort of?

Rhyno has the Potential to be a Strong Mid-Carder, I mean, back in 2001, during the Invasion, He was Totally Over, but now, in the modern day WWE, they just like using him as a Elevated Jobber (Sorta like Jericho is :() I think Rhyno, could, with a Re-Push and a little time to build himself back up, could become a major Threat in the IC Title Picture, If Loose Cannon, I mean Randy Orton, ever defended the title atleast once a month
