The "Hawk is a drunk" storyline from 1998 was also distasteful?
Yes, especially when he fell of the titantron.

Yes and no. If he was fine with it then I don't. If he didn't like it, but went along with it in fear of losing his job then yes I think it's distasteful.
Both Animal and Hawk hated the storyline, hence their departure from the company.

Oh God yes.
Yes, especially when he fell of the titantron.
I watched that episode of Raw only yesterday.
It amused me that after someone had just "fallen to their potential death/definate paralysation" they then had Sable come to the ring. The crowd went from sadness to complete elation in a matter of a second. And then you get King saying "The show must go on.".
I found that bit of it somewhat distasteful.

Cause, you know, he was one.
For the record, I also didn't mind Scott Hall's drunk angle. Though Hawk's was funnier. Because of, you know, falling off the Titan Tron.
Distasteful was more like when MNM were staring down Animal and something like this exchange happened:
"You go get your partner and we'll kick both your asses!"
"We can't do that."
"Why not?"
"His partner's dead!"
For the record that was funny too.

???
Um, Droz pushed Hawk off the 'Tron, and D'Lo broke Droz's neck?

Additionally, when Lawler squeaks when Hawk falls, he sounds like Beavis.

Looking at that clip is surreal... Hawk's dead. Droz is all fucked up. And Animal had to endure that terrible "Road Warrior" gimmick
