Two that immediately come to mind:

1. Chuck Palumbo and his biker gimmick - which was just a rip-off of 'Taker's American bad-ass gimmick.

2. The whole Deuce & Domino greaser gimmick.

Hornswaggle. A leprechaun? Really?

Eugene as a (thank you baby jesus) short lived heel.
Nick Dinsmore is a hell of a wrestler, but that gimmick was crap. A face Eugene was bad enough, but as a heel it was.......... bad. We're talking "Angry Video Game Nerd" bad.

Eugene, period.

Face or Heel.

Looking back, this is probably the worst gimmick since the Red Rooster in terms of damage done to a guy's career.

I don't think Dinsmore can EVER live that gimmick down. Just like how Terry Taylor is still called the Red Rooster to this day.

1. Kane
- His gimmick has been shit for the longest time. He isn't a monster anymore. He's had numerous relationships, all ending in disaster. He tried to kill the Undertaker, then became tag team champions with the Undertaker and then tried to kill him again in 2003-2004. He's simply not credible.

2. Zach Gowen
- 2003 was the shittest year for wrestling. He was pretty mobile for what he is but come on! Horrible gimmick with a horrible ending.

3. Any "authority figure vs top face star" angle...
You can't capture lightning in a bottle twice with the same bottle.

4. Eugene
- Terrible.

5. The Cabinet
Orlando Jordan and the Bashams play tag along to WWE Champion JBL.

There are too many, it's a sad case.

<font color=goldenrod>tbh, I like gimmicky wrestlers. They add a fresh feel to the show and a good break from guys who really have no gimmicks other than "guys who wrestle". So really, I don't dislike many of the recent gimmicks. Among the ones listed in this thread:

Eugene was hilarous initially...although admittedly it was depressing that the talented Nick Dinsmore couldn't show off his full talents. If they had given the gimmick to somebody who was only mediocre in the ring, it would have made me feel a bit better.

I loved Deuce 'n Domino...part of that might stem from the fact that they debuted as I was working on my high school production of Grease, and so essentially they were acting just like we were...but I enjoyed it. I think they could have done more with them than job them to hell after they lost the belts. And to this day, I still maintain that Domino's talents were wasted.

And Kerwin White was a fun gimmick as well. It gave Chavo something to do and he got heat...cheap heat yes...but heat nonetheless. People wanted to see him get beat down. Outside of the Eddie Guerrero tribute show, I kinda wish Chavo could have continued with that gimmick. I'm not sure if canning the gimmick was his call or WWE's.</font>

Err, most of that doesn't really have anything to do with a gimmick.

That out of the way, I'd like to nominate Vito's "Man in a Dress" shtick.

- Steve Blackman (except when he was in Head cheese). Hey, I'm a guy who carries sticks around and has a bland ass style and no charisma. I know he won matches sometimes, but I do not remember his finisher. He is like a black hole of entertainment.

- Sharkboy - I cannot begin to express my displeasure with this guy. I'd be okay if he was atleast an awesome cruiserweight, but he's not. He's a small guy who wrestles a very boring style, and has a totally unathletic look. He is an insult to wrestling fans, because he's embarrassing to the casuals.

- Mike Awesome "Fat Chick Thrilla" - enough said, really. He was such a badass in ECW. Vince Russo is a fucking assfaced cunt.

- "The One" Billy Gunn - what the fuck was that shit?

- S.H.I.T. - Hurricane and Rosey. Just lame.

I'd say one of the worst gimmicks was the Mexicana gimmick with Alberto Del Rio and Dutch Mantell. They swallowed everything good about Alberto upon his triumphant return. He could've been built into a real solid top star but in typical WWE fashion, if it's not in the stringent plans for the future, they can't adapt.

Umaga and Jeff didn't fight each other at No Way Out 2008, which was when Big Show returned after being out of action for over a year due to back surgery and needing to trim down as he was at his all-time largest 507 lbs. One of the only things I remember about the Mayweather/Show feud besides the ending of their WM XXIV match that saw "Money" knock out Show with brass knuckles, similar to how he lost the United States Championship to Cena 4 years prior at WM XX.
