Now that the last PPV of the year is over and Rumble is coming up what are our predicted cards/storylines?

There may have been a thread already, but it's not on the front page so in light of recent developments, I'm starting a new one.

I think a Batista vs Cena World Title Match is a pretty safe bet. I'm relatively uninterested but it's certainly a big payoff match that deserves to happen at a Mania. Too bad they even teased it at Summerslam.

Smackdown's main event is the most interesting. I suspect it will be some combination of HHH, Hardy, and Edge.
They've already exhausted the Triple Threat at Armageddon, and I think Hardy vs HHH has been overdone, foolishly, in the past few months.
HHH vs Edge would be my guess as of a couple weeks ago, but I see Hardy involved and still holding the title.
So, maybe HHH vs Hardy? This would be reptitive, but could still work since they have great chemistry and they haven't gone all out yet on the fued's potential.
I have the feeling HHH might make the superheel turn by revealing himself as the hotel attacker. That might give the matchup new life and make it bankable for Mania.

Undertaker vs Michaels has to be done. If it isn't, I'm pretty much disgusted. There isn't anything better either one of them could possibly be doing on the card.

MITB should be pretty stacked this year. Morrison winning would be ideal.

Whether or not Christian shows up is a big factor in Mania's card. If he does, theres some possibilities. He could face Edge. Chances are he's going to get cheered after being away so long. It's unavoidable. The best thing to do might be to fued them at first. After that payoff they should have them reconcile and become a heel unit to go after champions Matt and Jeff after Mania.

For Christ sake, I'd like to see the IC title on the card this year. I know it's a longshot but why not?
I think it'd be a nice gimmick to pit the IC and US champion against eachother in a title for title match this year. That way both champs can be on the card and we can see a double champion. The rest of both divisions can populate the MITB.

ECW Title match. Yea, should be there. Matt Hardy is great and makes it worthwhile. The real challenge is finding someone exciting for him to face that isn't doing something better on the card. Orton maybe? Probably "beneath him" but it could be a great match and I don't really see him doing anything better unless he's in one of the other world title matches somehow. Maybe he could face CM Punk, but I think he'd be better off here.
Punk could be better used in an IC/US title match, or MITB.

I know this is almost Noid-like, but here you go.

I want to see a Christian return, to Smackdown.

I want to see a Raw Rumble winner.

I want to see the WWE title vacated due to some circumstance or other in a Rumble match between Edge and Jeff.

At WM, I want to see Matt vs Jeff vs Edge vs Christian in a ladder match.

And I want Christian to win.

Aight, fantasy over.

Triple H needs to turn heel, win the title from Jeff before the Royal Rumble and then build up Jeff can't beat him leading into Wrestlemania where Jeff regains the belt.

Is there a big tv event before New Years? Or on New Years?

It'd be acceptable to me if HHH turned heel AND won the title on the same show

Then Jeff could win the rumble and gain the title back.

Also, if Jeff doesn't drop the title and the title matches are what they probably will be, that means the rumble winner will either be Batista, or HHH.
Lame and lame.
I think it'd be cool if they made the Rumble for one of the world titles this year.
Just a thought.

It'd be hilarious to see a GM put a champions title on the line in a royal rumble, and then have them enter #1.
This would be too lame if it was for Cena overcoming the odds, but it'd be awesome if it went another way. It'd be amazing to see him make it all the way to the final two, and then lose to Jericho. Even if he reclaimed the title back in a fued ending gimmick match at No Way Out, it'd be a nice touch to keep the road to wrestlemania interesting and explore another leg of the fued. He's gotta do something until Mania with that belt anyways.
It'd totally fit both characters. I'd like to see Cena surviving the whole rumble while Jericho dabbles and does guest commentary. All the while Cena stays alive and tries to get Jericho in the ring.

Conversely, Jeff Hardy overcoming the odds would be cool too, or even cooler if he made it to the end and HHH won. Then he could secure a title shot at mania and win it back.

What I'm saying is I'd like the Rumble to be unique this year, and have a fued leading up to it and throughout it that's more than just "I want to win the rumble"
HHH vs Hardy or Cena vs Jericho both have longer histories and more dynamics to them.
In the past few years its just been about which guy wants the title shot, and even though thats one way to look at it I'd like something more.
The rumble as an accessory to a fued harkens back to the Austin McMahon days where a story is told throughout the match and afterwards.
Making it for one of the titles and booking it around one of those two fueds would be gold.

I would like to see Matt v. Jeff somehow...maybe if Matt is the attacker they could get there

Undertaker v. HBK
Cena v. Batista v. Orton World Title
HHH v. Edge WWE Title
Matt v. Jeff
MITB Jericho v. Mysterio v. MVP v. R-Truth v. Kofi v. Punk
US Title Shelton v. Helms
Miz/Morrison v. Two Randoms
ECW Finlay v. Kozlov

I have no idea, really.

Jericho really is so gold in the role he's in now, and eventually he's going to have to step down from it.
I feel as though there should be some kind of fued involving him and the McMahons. Seriously, hes such an out of control asshole that once he's done with HBM and Cena he should move on to terrorizing the powers that be in the company.
He should harrass Vince and Linda.
Jericho vs Shane would be a great match. Make it for control of the company and have Shane lose.
The new corporate suited Jericho in control of the show for a while? Could be gold.

I just feel they should ride a good thing while it lasts. I can see Jericho breaking into the McMahon house, or the headquarters at Stamford and putting Linda in the walls. I'd love to see him give Vince a codebreaker in his living room, and try to break up Shane's marriage with incriminating information.

Triple H needs to turn heel, win the title from Jeff before the Royal Rumble and then build up Jeff can't beat him leading into Wrestlemania where Jeff regains the belt.

I would have agreed until recently. I think Triple H should have turned heel while still WWE Champion against Jeff, getting disqualified in Jeff's "last shot" at the title. This forces Jeff to win the Royal Rumble and use it to get a definite shot against The Heel H's.

Jeff winning the WWE Title is certainly something interesting. We'll see how long it lasts. I have a feeling it may be a very short reign, to set up who feuds with Jeff next. It's not going to be Edge who attacked Hardy, because they are having Vickie and Edge deny it way too much. It could be Triple H, but that is sort of obvious, too. I'm thinking Matt Hardy out of jealousy, baby. Matt vs. Jeff for the ECW Title at WrestleMania? I could see it.

If Christian is coming back, he will logically do something with Edge, and Edge as WWE Champion kind of made that weird. That might be part of why he lost the belt. But that makes me think it was Triple H who attacked Jeff Hardy, which sets up Jeff vs. Triple H pretty nicely.

I'm telling you, the possibilites for the "who attacked Jeff Hardy?" storyline are so numerous, and have such potential, that it's going to be Rikishi instead.
I've seen it happen before.

As far as the Rumble goes, as along as:

Undertaker
Cena
HHH
Batista

don't win, I think I will be happy.

I don't think you'll be happy. Unless they pull a big suprise it's more than likely going to be one of them.

SPOILERS

I see the path of Jeff Hardy going 2 ways:

At some point he will take on the guy that took him out in the hotel

That guy will either be HHH or Christian

He will either lose the title at the Rumble to Edge with Christian’s help

Or Take on a Heel HHH at Mania

If he jobs the title to Edge at the Rumble, he will take on Christian at Mania

Now that Jeff has the belt, I really don't think we're going to get a payoff to the hotel attacker storyline.

I think the inital plan was for Jeff to win the Rumble and wait until the grandest stage for him to realize his dream. But I think WWE had second thoughts at the last minute and weren't sure whether to put all the pressure of winning the Rumble, hyping and building up Wrestlemania around him on his shoulders for 2 months. Remember, the same time last year Jeff was pretty much a lock to win MITB and look what happened there. It was a risk.

At WM, I want to see Matt vs Jeff vs Edge vs Christian in a ladder match.

Perhaps M.I.T.B. featuring them and 4 others T.B.D.? (:y:/:n:?)
