View Full Version : Would you like to see Mike Adamle back

Mr. Nerfect

I'm not going to go too much into his potential uses, but just think about them for yourself. Is there any way, shape or form you'd like to see Mike the Adamle back on WWE television?

"I'm not going to go too much into his potential uses"

Who hijacked Noid's account?

Yeah, um, answer the question?

Live television suicide?

(No, by the way)

Mr. Nerfect

I wouldn't mind it. I think the guy is a potential heat machine. Like a less savvy Larry Sweeney.

.44 Magdalene
12-21-2008, 03:44 AM
OJ Simpson is a potential heat machine.

No, though.

Mr. Nerfect
12-21-2008, 03:46 AM
Fair enough. Your opinion. OJ Simpson managing people wouldn't make sense unless they murdered people, though. Adamle at least has his foot in the door.

JT

Honestly happy he's gone. He didn't fit into the environment at all, and his character had less depth then John Cena's moveset. I'm glad that they made an agreement of parting ways before it got worst...it really seemed for the best.

I don't know if there's a word in any language strong enough to describe how powerful of a NO this is.

.44 Magdalene
12-21-2008, 03:48 AM
Adamle only has his foot in the door and/or makes sense in the fact that he's a former employee. He has no other visible talent for the position. Jim Ross's bare ass is a heat machine and is already employed. Let's just put his naked rump on television and call it a day.

.44 Magdalene
12-21-2008, 03:49 AM
And to be totally honest, I think Jim Ross ripping a steak-and-BBQ fart into a headset would make for better television and really, more accurate commentary than Adamle could muster on a good day.

No.

I would rather they employed an actual heat machine rather than re-hire Adamle as it would cost thousands less and it would make fewer mistakes.

It wouldn't make sense managing people unless they were cold.

12-21-2008, 04:03 AM
You could just put it in Vince's office seasonally and then when spring rolls around wish it the best of luck in its future endeavors. I'm sure TNA would hire it for the X-Division.

.44 Magdalene
12-21-2008, 04:04 AM
I don't know, do they really need another overrated spot monkey? Heat Machine was amazing in Japan, but he's just gonna get stale and do the same old watered down shit in TNA.

And you know they won't give him the mic.

thedamndest
12-21-2008, 04:07 AM
The smarks love him. Russo will put him on top.

James Steele
12-21-2008, 04:13 AM
He was getting better, and he had something about him that made you love him or hate him. Most people in WWE can't get anybody to care that they exist.

.44 Magdalene
12-21-2008, 04:13 AM
They'll probably give him a stupid name, though. Like... I don't know, Kip Warming Device.

.44 Magdalene
12-21-2008, 04:13 AM
James, the topic has clearly moved away from Adamle and onto Heat Machine. Get with the program.

Yeah. WWE and their trademarks :(.

James Steele

Well, if Heat Machine were in TNA...he'd be in the Knockout division until it reveals that it is a hermaphrodite. Then it will challenge Awesome Kong, Samoa Joe, and Curry Man in a triple threat triple title match...and win. Then, on IMPACT it would win the tag titles from LAX with Awesome Kong. The tension between Kong and Machine will cause them to feud for every title in TNA until the blowoff at BFG.

I didn't hate Adamle, but there was just this extreme level of...discomfort, I guess, that came with all of his segments that I really can do without.

He was a huge waste of money.

And to be totally honest, I think Jim Ross ripping a steak-and-BBQ fart into a headset would make for better television and really, more accurate commentary than Adamle could muster on a good day.

Commentary is not the place for him. I'll definitely agree with that. Todd Grisham, Jim Ross, Michael Cole, Josh Mathews & Joey Styles are all better play-by-play guys signed by the company. I'm not sure if he's still employed, and I haven't heard him announce, but I'm sure Timmy Baltimore would be better, too.

I think the guy could be used to make fans care about other guys, though. One of my big problems with the current play-by-play guys, besides Jim Ross, is that they don't really seem to strike a chord with the crowd as much as Good Ol' JR. The fans don't really give a shit if Michael Cole is here today, or Todd Grisham is gone tomorrow.

Just a random one-off appearance for Adamle: He returns at a PPV, or ECW event, and tells Todd Grisham that he wants his job as ECW play-by-play commentator back. He was the nice guy and walked away from his job as RAW General Manager, but no one offered his gig as announcer back. Todd can then let Adamle know that this is not how job negotiations go on, and that Adamle was a horrible announcer, whereas he and Matt Striker won the Slammy together. Adamle can shove Grisham, or something, and Todd can respond by smacking Adamle in the head with the Slammy.

The fans would love seeing Adamle get his head smacked in, and it would probably get them to see Todd Grisham as less of a tool. People say that angles like this with announcers are stupid, and pointless, but I really believe that the fans need to care about the guys narrating the product to them. It'd take up like two minutes of air time, and it could do a lot of good for Grisham's persona.

Phew, Noid regained control of his account.

Mr. Nerfect

Wow, you mean I'm not even allowed to most in my own threads now?

Boondock Saint
12-21-2008, 02:19 PM
Is he still employed with WWE? I don't recall seeing him being released.

Xero
12-21-2008, 02:23 PM
He's employed at least into the new year. He had at least a year contract, possibly slightly longer.

Mr. Nerfect
12-21-2008, 02:23 PM
I was just about to ask that, Boondock Saint. I never saw a notice of his release. He was just removed from TV, I thought. If he hasn't been released, it would make sense to use him on the sheer basis they are paying him this huge amount of money.

I think Mike Adamle looks kind of like a big parrot. Give Burchill back the pirate gimmick and have Adamle manage him.

Mr. Nerfect
12-21-2008, 02:28 PM
Adamle returning as a pirate, needing some treasure because the WWE left him without anything, could be WrestleMania main event-quality stuff.

Apparently he was training to wrestle, so he could eventually step into the ring for a few matches. Adamle returning as either a robot Adamle created by Mike Adamle to get revenge on the WWE by destroying its top talent -- or Mike Adamle recently trained in the ninja arts could both revolutionise the business.

I thought Adamle was funny. Bring him back

NO!

I would rather have my head shaved with a cheese grater while chewing on tin foil than see Adamle back on TV.

I wouldn't mind seeing him as a mid level heel manager. Turn his mistakes on the mic into a gimmick (even more so) and presto!

Exactly. Something like that could be splendid. Can you imagine the heat he would get if he called Jeff Hardy "Jeff Harvey" to his face? Stick a bunch of guys with him, and watch them get over.

NO!

I would rather have my head shaved with a cheese grater while chewing on tin foil than see Adamle back on TV.

KYR, I love you, but that's pretty sad if you'd rather inflict yourself with pain than see Mike Adamle again. There are far worse things.

Plus, I fear Steele pain. :'(

Even though he was a bigger botch machine than Lita, he's still far better than Don West.

The GM version was actually starting to grow on me a bit.

Only in a Pete Rose kind of role, where he only appears once a year to get his ass kicked.
