View Full Version : So, Noid, is there anyone that you feel is completely worthless?
I noticed that it seems you can always find a positive for any guy. This is commendable and I often wish that the creative staff had the ability to do what you do - rather than talented guys getting released cos "creative have nothing for them".
But, my question to you is...is there anyone on the roster that you think is entirely devoid of talent/doesn't have a use.
Everyone else feel free to make your own choice(s) and explain why you think that person(s) is nothing short of "shit on a stick".

Bella Twins- Suck lots
Eve- what the hell does she do?
Duggan-Might as well
Make some tag teams or I fire Haas/Benjamin
Fix Ryder/Hawkins or fire, same with Bam
That's it, no explanation needed.

IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO I THINK IS WORTHLESS!
A twist on your idea, Hasney. Just for you. Belated Christmas to you.
Honestly, a positive spin can be put onto any wrestler, even a guy like Hacksaw Jim Duggan (he's over), but yeah, I'd definitely lose him. Snitsky was another guy that I think stayed way past his welcome.
Bam Neely just isn't that good, and he isn't that big. I would at least send him down to FCW for a few years to see if he can learn to put on a five star match, but for some reason, I don't think he will. I would almost agree with Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins, to some degree, but I looked them up a while ago, and they are like 23 years old apiece. They are very young, and could develop into some good workers over time.
Eve is very hot, so I'll give her a pass. Plus I think Finlay could work another miracle with her. I actually see very little value in Candice Michelle. Not only is she in her 30's now, and while I do admire her desire to improve, girls like Kelly Kelly, The Bella Twins and Maria are already up to her standard. Without Christian's finishing move, what does she have?
Hardcore Holly is over, and not a terrible worker, but he's actually like the oldest full-time worker in the WWE, I believe (not counting Duggan, who is sort of like a novelty part-time act). Apparently he's in rehab or something? Pay for that, as that is the WWE's policy, I believe, but then cut him lose. He's just not a very pleasant employee to have around, by all accounts.
While he did matter in the development leagues, I haven't seen his work down there, and his gimmick in the WWE seems to be a "normal guy." Ryan Braddock can go. He might have been sort of interesting if he was JBL's cousin, but yeah. I wouldn't lose any sleep about his "potential" going to waste.
I've never been a fan of The Boogeyman, either. Marty Wright was dedicated enough to the business to knock out his teeth and really improve on ECW, but he is too injury prone and just not good enough to warrant sticking around, in my opinion.
While they're not wrestlers, Josh Mathews, Jack Korpela and Timmy Baltimore are all "announcers" under WWE contract, I believe. I don't think any of them is going to get a chance to do much, and while I don't like suggesting people ever be out of job, I think their talents could be used elsewhere in the industry. It's mainly that there isn't much room for them, besides hosting pre-shows and stuff, which someone like Matt Striker could do.
So, my list comes down to:
Bam Neely
Candice Michelle
Hacksaw Jim Duggan
Hardcore Holly
Jack Korpela
Josh Mathews
Ryan Braddock
The Boogeyman
Timmy Baltimore

I do agree that Paul Burchill, Ryan Braddock and Bam Neely are just kinda vanilla big guys, but I could see a "Fuji"ish manager come around and turn them into a solid tag team.

And that needs to change. Right now.
Cheers Noid, thanks for responding.
I love the fact that even in telling me/us who you would drop you still mostly find a positive to mention. Whilst I find it amusing I also wish I had that kinda positive mental attitude.

<font color=goldenrod>Yeah I too would have to say Bam Neely is at the top of the useless list. They teased a proper split between him and Chavo, but to my knowledge they never actually had him come out and "quit" or anything. Had he done that, they might have been able to salvage something out of him. But instead, he's a lone 33 year old heel still around simply to make the ECW roster look bigger.
WWE also has way too many jobber faces, particularly on Raw. They've got Hacksaw Jim Duggan, D-Lo Brown, and eventually Val Venis. On top of that, Jamie Noble unfortunately seems to be headed in that direction as well. I understand most of those guys are still employed for loyalty purposes, but it just seems like a bit much. It still puzzles me why they bothered re-hiring D-Lo...I like the guy but the fact is even if they stuck him on SmackDown he'd probably be strictly a jobber like Kung Fu Naki or Jimmy Wang Yang.
WWE also seems to have a problem with calling guys up before they have anything planned for them...Scotty Goldman, Ryan Braddock, and Gavin Spears being good examples. Scotty seemed to initially been given a wacky prankster type of gimmick but hasn't been on TV since September, Braddock appears to be working an Elvis gimmick at house shows which I doubt will last long, and Spears has made all of 3 TV appearances.
All in all they just have way too much dead weight right now. If the roster split were ended they could send a bunch of the younger guys down and cut a bunch of people they don't plan on doing anything with. I dunno.</font>

Ironic that you accuse me of making stuff up by making up a meaning for a goofy sentimental throwaway statement I make. It's sort of cute.

Josh Mathews is the PBP man for FCW. Not sure why he's still listed among WWE's active announcers, but they are putting him to use. Him and Dusty Rhodes are very entertaining together.

I wasn't aware of that, actually. Good for him. That would be a pretty sweet gig. I mean, working on commentary with Dusty Rhodes? I wish Mathews would fill in on RAW, SmackDown! or ECW occasionally when they need to give a guy time off. Or just for the hell of it, to get him some more exposure.

I've praised Cena quite a lot in the past. The same with Shawn Michaels (I believe I have gone as far as to call him and Chris Jericho the best two workers on the WWE roster). Triple H I am not a massive fan of, but I mix in the good with the bad there. He's a great worker. Overrated as all hell, but a good worker.
