I watched like 30 seconds of one and then had to go. Are they actually funny? Like, does he have some sort of cult following for doing funny things? It didn't seem too funny to me, but I guess he might have a following that I don't know about.

Or is this the next "Who's Now?" competition? Just a terrible ESPN gimmick.

I love Kenny Mayne. It is pretty dry humor though. I think if they added a laugh track it would be funnier.

Mayne Event is pretty much always hilarious. He is talking about Mayne Street though, the ESPN.com webcast. They are alright, some have been pretty lol and have some have been awful. Altogether though, I love Kenny Mayne's sense of humor. Been a huge fan of his ever since he did a Mayne Event in 2002 where he was smashing bobbleheads to see who win the World Series.

So did Kenny Mayne become funny by doing this type of stuff, or was he originally just funny because he was odd and funny like this on normal ESPN programming?

I think he was a SportsCenter anchor before. He was always funny to me.

He was, and he has always been amazing.

Mayne Street has been a recent obsession of mine. Been showing it to everybody.
