View Full Version : What are some good fighting games to try?

I used to love the MK games back in the day, pretty fun, easy entertainment. I played some of the more modern MK's on PS2 and they were decently fun (I remember the one where each character had 2 fighting styles plus a weapon style). I played DC vs MK on 360 the other day but I felt that was pretty lacking.

I've played some Soul Caliber games before and thought those were awesome. I also like Fight Night (I know its boxing but its a fighting game for all intensive purposes here).

So, I have a 360. For those who play fighting games what are the top 3 fighting games on 360? I'm not fucking with emulators or anything like that.

Yeah, fight night 3 is still awesome multiplayer, even though it was a launch title.
The rest of the fighting games are balls though. Soul Calibur is ok. Devil May Cry is alright for a hack and slash.

Dead or Alive 4 is really fun too.

Also, tekken 6 will be hitting 360.

Yeah, it's still not a "sure thing", but it's getting close.

Shame they won't be HD'ing it up :(

Get some MS Points, get on Live and buy Guilty Gear XX #Reload and Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix. That'll cover your 2D games.

For 3D: SoulCalibur 4, Dead Or Alive 4, MK vs DC.

That should cover you. Facebreaker and Battle Fantasia are a little out there, so I don't know if you'd enjoy them all that much. Facebreaker is a lot like the old Ready 2 Rumble games and Battle Fantasia... is like a Japanese storybook fairytale fighter (I'm being completely serious, here).

What he said. And if you have a PS2:

Street Fighter Alpha Anthology
Street Fighter Anniversary Collection (SF3rdS FTW)
Arcana Heart 2 (if it ever comes to the states)

And if you have an N64, look up Fighter's Destiny.

Well, I was just going by what he said for 360. If we're going to put PS2 on here, there's more to add to the list.
