Meh, it's probably just a typo. Probably ment to place Batista and put the picture of some gap-toothed wrestling fan in there by mistake.

I thought Hardcore Holly won that Rumble?

I wonder if they will list him under top EXTREME moments.

Sponsored by Bowflex, of course.

We all know Perry Saturn won the 2004 Rumble.

I was at that royal rumble :(

That list was made back in January of 2007, and WWE didn't delete it after the tragedy's PR aftermath.

On the 2009 RR page, if you click on the Past Winners section that page doesn't even have 2004 on there. WWE is still very much treating a murderer like he never exsisted.

Well yeah, if it was done this year, Cena's shocking return would be #1

Makes sense though. There has to be SOME advantage to being an underdog. I mean he lost almost every singles match he had while champion. I guess the up-side of being an 'underdog' is that it's extra 'shocking' when you win something big.

I have heard rumors on the existance of some guy called Krispin Wah, but never seen him in action.

This whole WWE trying to delete Chris Benoit from their past is stupid. It's one thing to not want to mention him on future programming, but to edit past DVDs so his matches are not on them, or to not even mention his 2004 win on their site just makes the company look bad.

Still has him on the history page.

I agree completely. The man was one of the best professional wrestlers ever. Evidently, a little too good, as he lost his life, and unfortunately the lives of his family, to the business. The WWE distancing themselves doesn't seem, to me anyway, as much a good PR move as something completely immature and doesn't take any sort of responsibility for the monster they created. Not that claiming responsibility for Benoit's actions is a wise PR move, either, but when the man was such a big part of your history, it's just so fucking stupid to pretend he never existed. It reminds me of that episode of Family Guy (and I am not a big fan of that show, at all), where they are in Germany or something. "We were all on holiday!"

Just call the man a great professional wrestler, let the tragedy speak for itself, and move on.

Also, I can completely understand why Rey Mysterio's Rumble performance was called the best ever by the WWE. He started off the match, won it, and lasted longer than anyone else in Rumble history. That's pretty impressive stuff, both in kayfabe and in the sense of what the performance demanded.

I think it's a phase. The WWE's knee-jerk reaction I think would be common, though it's hard to say as I don't know of many featured stars who went out and killed two family members then themselves. That said, I think time will smooth it over and eventually his matches and angles will find themselves on DVDs, and his name mentioned in passing.

Time will mend wounds, I guess. Triple H and Shawn Michaels use the Crossface as some sort of weird homage to the guy. I think what really baffles me about it is that the only reason Benoit was a somebody was because of his work for big American professional wrestling companies, specifically the WWE. The incident got such a big pedestal because it was a WWE wrestler doing it. Pretending he never worked for the company was just stupid.

I'm surprised they never re-filmed the main event to WM 20 as just being HHH/HBK...ending with Chavo (dressed as Eddie) coming out to hug Shawn at the end.

They could have hired Hector Guerrero for the part of Eddie.

Can anyone really blame WWE for not wanting to be linked to Benoit more than necessary?

No, but you cannot help what you've already been linked to. It's not like anyone is calling for Chris Benoit to be put into the Hall of Fame tomorrow.

It's kind of bizarre that she's stuck with the WWE this long as a performer. I know the WWE said that they would support her after Eddie's death, but I didn't really expect it would mean her joining the road and becoming an on-air character. What's also surprising is that she is probably the most over heel in the company. Kudos to her, I guess.

When are Eddie's daughters turning 18? I'm sure the WWE will try and bring them in for angles and such when they come of age.

Oh God, all we need is Edge porking more people in the company.
