So I've been downloading a shit ton of movies lately, and just realized my hard drive's about maxed the fuck out. Like no room left. So not having any real idea of how to burn my shit to DVDs, I went out and bought some DVD-R's. Tried burning Quantum of Solace last night, but it didn't work at all.

And that's where I'm at. Know of a good program to use that's easy and free?

ConvertX To DVD

Has never failed me once, makes higher quality DVDs, with Menu/Text/Background/Chapter Time Editing

Insanely simple to use bro. Stick a DVD in, set to burn, go to bed and your disc tray will be open in the morning.

Do you have a DVD burner or just a regular CD burner? This might be a problem. lol. If not though there are some programs that you can get to make things easier. Nero comes to mind.

Yeah I've got a DVD burner. Gonna download ConvertX right now.

Man, its so simple. Click the green plus button, add the movie you want (try not to make the data more then 4.3GB)

Double click on the menu items/or click the + and open the sub-menu and click on things you wish to edit (I.E movie titles, DVD Titles, Pictures)

Also, if you want search google for the movie, click images, right click the pic, copy picture, open paint and paste, save it. Then go to menu/background and select that pic and that will be the background of your main menu.

Watermark?

Tb1
01-06-2009, 05:21 PM
Yeah, it's say I could either buy the program for $50 or use the trail and a watermark will be placed in the middle of the screen. And it's huge and right in the middle.

Yeah, it also asked me if I had a code or some shit when I downloaded it. Didn't think too much about it. You know how I might fix this?

El Fangel

And VC comes to the rescue.

I've got others if that doesn't work.

Edit: That may not work since you probably have the newer version :o

Here's a torrent with a crack in it: http://www.mininova.org/tor/2139681

I got the impression that your MAIN issue was a lack of capacity on your hard drive.

If that's the case, why worry about "converting" your movie files to DVD format?

If it's purely a "storage" thing just make data DVD's - depending on the size of the files you've downloaded you'll probably fit 5-6 movies onto each DVD.

Personally, I'd just buy a cheap external hard drive to solve the problem.

If you're gonna make DVDs with them, don't waste time and shit by making menus and whatever. All of my DVDs are just pop in and it plays the damn movie. None of that hassle of going through menus.

This is good advice.

Also, if what you're going to play the movies on (i.e. TV/DVD player) is DivX compatible, there's no need to convert the files to DVD format. Just make data DVD's (as I suggested above) - don't make folders though.

*disclaimer*

I use ConvertXtoDVD because I had a bunch of movies in other formats that would not burn correctly for me, so I have used this ever since to make movies with nice backgrounds etc.

Although, G, what do you use to make the pop in and go movies?

Hate to be "that guy", but what the fuck am I supposed to do with the crack? Downloaded the torrent and it just gave me a folder with the crack in it, yet I have no idea how to use it.

El Fangel

I do believe you use that file to replace another file of teh same name in the folder with the program in it.

I do not remember if thats correct however. I need to be a better pirate.

What he said. If it's just space you're worried about and you just watch the videos on your computer, there is no reason to go through the trouble and time to convert them to regular DVDs.

Do you have DVD burning software like Nero?

If so, just burn a "Data DVD" and put whatever files you want on the discs. Each DVD is 4.6 GB. And it'll burn 6-7 movies onto one disc in like 10 mins instead of waiting an hour or more per movie.

So with Data DVD's can I just pull up whatever movie I want and watch it? If so that would rock. And can you play it through 360?

Vietnamese Crippler

You cannot play a burned data DVD through a 360. Data DVDs can be played/read from any computer DVD drive, however.

Do not worry with data DVDs, just make a regular DVD. Then you do not have to worry about playback because 95% of DVD players will play it.

I just tried a disk with my 360 (un-modded) and it didn't work :-\

I think Hasney meant a modded one.

Not absolutely certain about the 360, but a modded PS2 will play data DVD's with .avi files provided they aren't enclosed in folders.

#BROKEN Hasney

No, unmodded.

Not all codecs work, but all you need is HD WMV anyways :D

Q: What are the different ways to play video content on Xbox 360?

A: You can play video from a USB 2.0 FAT 32 removable drive, optical media, and by streaming from the Zune software or Windows Media Player 11.
