View Full Version : What were the reasons
...behind stopping Tough Enough on TV?
maybe they realized that it wasn't really producing the superstars it hoped for?

Maven was golden. Besides that, who else came from that show?

Yup, THis show started in the middle of the boom, and trailed off with WWE ratings.
Was GREAT while it lasted.

Also factoring in the mix was the fact that WWE stopped airing Sunday Night Heat on MTV after season 4 and before season 5 would have been made, IIRC.
Triple H hated it, thinking it exposed the business too openly.

Which worked at the time, but then they started getting more and more into the return to Kayfabe.
Plus they hated giving big contracts to green as hell rookies.
Tough Enough would have been much better with like Indy wrestlers.

Maven was decent, and they cut him when he was getting interesting. The guy from Harvard was doing well until he got cancer or whatever. Melina and Morrison are a couple of the brightest stars in WWE today. So I would say the have had success with tough enough.
