View Full Version : Cena/JBL/HBK Idea

I dont usually do this but I caught glimpses of the HBK/Cena Match. And I was thinking about ways in which HBK would benefit from this employed by JBL thing. And then it hit me... so here is my scenario.

JBL vs Cena at Royal Rumble. Their match would be the last one before the main event which is of course the Rumble. HBK would help JBl get the win over John Cena thus giving Bradshaw the title. Then as the rumble progresses through, HBK comes out as a surprise entrant say at number 30 and wins. This means he would get a title shot at Mania and most likely against JBL. Now Bradshaw gets angry blah blah. Shawn just says he helped JBL win the title and that's all their agreement was.
This would put Shawn in the main event match against his former employer. And most likely HBK would pick up the win and another title run.

Tell me what you think, considering I never do this.

That's actually a great idea, but I'd hate to waste a RR win on a guy that has already won it twice, over a decade ago at that.

Wow. That actually has merit :y:

But I guess it could still work if Shawn wins the Elimination Chamber match.

Not a bad idea but I wouldn't wanna see Number 30 win again (especially as a suprise entrant) and I don't think I'd be into JBL v HBK as the Main Event for WM25. I'm still hoping they can work out a Taker/Michaels programme. Perhaps have JBL force HBK into a match against Taker as punishment for failing to help him win the title?

I love it to be honest, its different and surprising.

But I agree, no number 30, maybe late teens, early twenties and have JBL realise whats going on an come out yelling out how theres a price on HBKs head, make it all the more dramatic as people try to claim it.

You could even use that as an excuse for some top guys to semi help him and then that gets them eliminated because there not focusing on what they should be.

On a side note, this angle at the moment is just horrendous. JBL just keeps cutting exactly the same promo, be it in his limo, in the ring, backstage. It's the same one! HBK just sits silently looking like a punished puppy. You can tell it's getting heavily produced by the constantly different promo locations and the fact the JBL is stellar on the stick and I don't think would be so unprogressive with his comments. Whats worse though, is that they can't axe it because its a leading storyline, and that it has got to end with the two facing off so soon it will kill any of the heat it's failing to build. Even if it runs with Shawn still as his employee at No Way Out, thats still only like, 3 months.

My only real problems with it are the superficial ones, such as not wanting to see JBL vs. HBK at WrestleMania.

To be honest, I'm not sure why HBK would suddenly go from "forced employee" to "free spirit" again, though, just because he helped JBL win the World Heavyweight Title. I mean, why help him as part of his employment deal if he was just going to get his ass fired by JBL for chasing after the title again? But then again, I haven't been following this story too closely, because it is pretty bad.

Yeah to be honest Noid, I havent really followed it either. I have seen bits and pieces of the storyline between HBK and JBL but thats it.
And...
As much as I would hate JBL in the mainevent at Wrestlemania, if HBK was facing him and he won the title, it would make up for everything.

I just would not be able to help think, though: "It could have been Jericho!" Seriously, Heel Jericho vs. Face HBK at WrestleMania could have been done this year.

I'm still unsure exactly what it is HBK does for JBL.

I mean, we can imagine he got paid to "lie down" in the Fatal Fourway but aside from that I can't recall JBL even having HBK replace him in a match. Yeah he faced Cena this past week but I thought Stephanie booked that match.

I'd get it if JBL would have him carry out menial tasks like fetching him coffee or even driving the limo, but in this scenario I don't really get what he's being paid for.

I like the idea, and it makes sense according to the storyline and it can make for a dramatic main event, but I think a lot of people were ready for Undertaker vs. HBK.

I'd like to see Vince come back on Monday, and make a huge announcement stating that since Shawn Michaels pinned the World Champion John Cena on Monday, he indeed deserves a Championship match. He adds HBK to the match, making it a triple threat, which sends JBL into a frenzy. Vince tells Shawn, "This is your chance to break away from JBL. If you win the Championship, you're a free man on top of the world." Meanwhile JBL is trying to manipulate HBK telling him that he is his employer, his true financial source, trying to get HBK to allow JBL to pin Cena, etc. Kind of just a tug-of-war match between Vince and JBL.

HBK wins the Championship at the Rumble after a dramatic turn on JBL during the match, and HBK becomes a free man. JBL is pissed off, of course, but earns the title match at No Way Out. After JBL loses at No Way Out to HBK, he takes his frustrations out on Vince and beats the crap out of him, when Shane makes his return later on standing up for his father, setting up JBL vs. Shane McMahon at Mania 25 in a street fight.

Meanwhile, Taker wins the Elimination Chamber (including RAW and SD guys giving them an opportunity at the WHC on RAW) and he goes onto fight Shawn Michaels for the WHC at Mania 25.

Hey, it was worth a thought.

I think this is the route they are going with this but instead HBM will win the Elimination Chamber, not the Rumble.

I still say Jericho VS Taker Non-Title would be a huge draw.

It's going to be Bats VS Cena. Bats injury is a work, I feel it deep down. Michaels will wrestle JBL but it won't be for the title.

Here's what I was really hoping for...

At this past Raw, HBM "injures" Cena, forcing Cena out of the match at RR. At RR, there's a ceremony where they announce that the title is being held up. At NWO, it is going to be JBL, the legit #1 contender vs. the man that was the last eliminated in the 4-way for the title shot, and the man who put Cena out - HBM. This would build up NWO with "does HBM keep his job and lay down for JBL, or does he try to once again headline WM?"

Only problem with that is JBL WILL SCREW HBM OUT OF HIS MATCH AT MANIA, unless they make it a Triple Threat Match for the title.

Actually, I figured the biggest problem was them having Cena off TV again.
