But out side of Hank Williams the 3rd, is there any modern sad country? Cause when I listen to county music, I want it to be about wifes running off with the dog and pickup truck and the singer missing his dog and pick up truck and crawling into a whiskey bottle.

Alison Krauss and Union Station make sad, but good music.

If you want something more manly, try Slobberbone.

If you really think about it isn't country music more emo than emo music? Like if you really actually think about it.

*thinks about it.*
Sorry, some of the Country chicks could kick emo guys' asses.
That, and some of the Country Guys are kind of Macho. Toby Keith would be the Butch. Pete Wentz (or whatever the fucker from Fallout Boy's name is) would be the bitch.
Jamie Johnson has a really good album out right now.
