and it got me thinking- if WWE were to bring back the hardcore title in today's kid friendly demographic how would they do it?
I'm thinking it'll be nothing but a comedy Crash Holly style belt for a while. I think it would make sense for the belt to jump from show to show if they kept the 24/7 rule.
Goldust vs Santino for the Harcore title would be (pardon the pun) gold. The Miz could make Hornswoggle look legit, so I'm sure he could sell a plastic toy title to the head like it's a hammer. I would have been great with D'Lo's chest pad, and Snuka could break coconuts over people's heads.
So, hardcore title in a kid friendly demograpic, yay or nay, and why?
Santino Marella sucks.
That is all.

Nay. The Hardcore Title as a joke was funny for awhile, but the good stuff was when the ECW guys were running those matches. Besides, I wouldn't want to see the Miz or anybody of his caliber floundering around in a division where they would probably have to do more "safe-style" than not matches, or some other such waste of five minutes of kick kick punch pin.

I would rather see them create a WWE TV Title with the following rules:
1. The WWE TV Title must be defended at each televised WWE event, including PPVs.
2. Each TV Title match has a ten minute time limit. In the case of a time limit draw, the champion retains.
Have John Morrison be the first champion, and let him soar.

I like number 2, but I would rather they just implement it on regular matches like they used to. There is no need for a new title.
Hang on a minute.
You were DOING someone's mom and thinking about wrestlers????
WTF???
But to answer your question, even though it's been done before I would welcome some variety right now.

Hardcore Title - Blood = Pointless.
Though---Hardcore Title= Pointless.
Wrestling where I am from, it is illegal to bleed in any form. I have seen hardcore matches and no one bleeds, it's not that bad. However, in the world we live in today, MORE BLOOD is what we want. I don't know what it is...Sex, Violence, and Drugs are what we fans want to see.
However, I respect WWE trying to take Vulgarity out of wrestling. Though it entertains people like YOU and ME, I do not want my children growing up learning that vulgarity.

WHC Title = Pointless
They're trophies for a fixed sport. They mean as much as the bookers can make them mean.
And in the end taking vulgarity out of wrestling won't make any difference if no one gives a damn about wrestling. As violence and adult themes have taken a dive in WWE so has the drama and even the wrestling aspect.
I liked the 24/7 rule, so I guess some good could come of a PG or PG-13 Hardcore Title but I'd rather have a solid eight minutes of violence each week. It has a higher chance of success.

I wouldn't want my children to watch a show that features men wearing nothing but their undies oiling up, waxing their bodies, and solving their problems by groping each other.
I also wouldn't like my children to watch a show where people who use their heads and reasoning are booed, and the sluttier and more useless a woman is the "better" she is.
Wrestling is vulgar in the sense that it is grown men throwing all decorum out the window. There is artistry and sportsmanship to it, but that can only carry it so far in.
