Where were you when you found out Hulk Hogan had signed with WCW?

Pretty sure I just one day saw him on WCW and thought to myself "Oh. He's in WCW now". Wasn't too big into wrestling back then yet.

Yep, wasn't watching wrestling yet. That will be my response for anything earlier than 1998. :o

Yeah, I kind of flipped through and caught a WCW SAturday Night with him on it in late 1995, when he was in the feud with the Dungeon of Doom. Not too long after that I got back into Wrestling, watching WWF shows and Soon Nitro in early 1996, and have watched ever since.

I pretty much gave up on wrestling after WM 8, I dont know why, I just fell out of it.

The only other period I missed was late 2002 and all of 2003, because of Boot camp and a deployment to Afghanistan.

I remember watching King of the Ring 1993 when Hogan lost the title to Yokozuna and remember saying to myself how this is building to Hogan going to WCW. I think I had heard of Hogan jumping ship in The Pro Wrestling Torch newsletter so when it actually happened, I wasn't too surprised.

This was pre-internet for me, by the way. I wasn't online until about 96 or 97.

I had never even known of WCW back then. Always watched WWF Superstars Saturdays at noon after cartoons and eventually came to notice that the Hulkster wasn't on TV anymore.

Then sometime in '94 or '95, we had a free preview weekend of the "US superstation" channels, and I stumbled across WCW on one of the channels and saw Hogan and was like, "WTF is this!?!?!". Until that moment, I was in a WWF universe where WWF was wrestling and never knew that any other rival type organizations existed. We didn't start to get WCW on our regular cable stations up here until the Outsiders first showed up.

At my grandma's house, can't recall the year. All I know is it was summer (my family went to my grandma's house for the summer every year for a good 4-5 years).
I didn't know WCW was at the time, but all of the sudden I see non-WWF wrestling on tv. Hulk Hogan was on a pre-tapped ad for the WCW Hotline. I think that's when I started going from mark to smark. "Wait a second- After all the years Hogan fought for the WWF title, he's wrestling for another company!?!?!? Something isn't right here...."

I turned on WCW (which I did not watch regularly back then) and he was fighting the Taskmaster, or something to that effect.

I actually remember reading about it in PWI come to think of it. I was a pretty hardcore WWF mark at the time.

I wasn't interested in wrestling at that point, so who knows. Probably playing with Jurassic Park toys in my backyard

Probably read about it in the Wolf's column in the UK Satellite Times. I was 11 at the time.
