View Full Version : Turning Bradshaw Heel....

Man when WWE once to turn someone heel they can do it. Look at what they did to Bradshaw. They change up his whole image. Give him a full name to go by. Dress him up. Man and give him some crappy music. Can the WWE make the fans hate a man or what. Just make him come out and talk about politics and stock portfolios and how he wont drink beer anymore. That will ruin fans loyalty toward him. Then again when they cut his hair and dyed it a different color that really did it for him to. Then again maybe no one payed attention to the segment of Bradshaw on Smackdown thinking that it was really a commercial.

Who is bradshaw?

Heh, there's a simpler way to turn Bradshaw heel. Just have him come out with a mic, and say to the crowd, "Y'all's football team sucks." That'll do it.

Yeah, I have to admit, I liked heel Bradshaw. His Titontron video is hillarious with him on those talkshows. Funny Stuff.

I was impressed by the promo, it could be a pretty fun character. But it has no place in the main event scene.

Yeah I really wanted to hate it because I really dislike Bradshaw, but I thought it was the best thing he's ever done.

The thing I really like about his gimmick is that all the things he represents, he is in real life. And he was actually really good with the delivery of his promo.

Of course the problem lies that he's still the same old Bradshaw in the ring, but who knows maybe hes been holding something back. I always talk that I want to see new things, this is new, and for now its pretty good. I'd rather see Eddie feud with about 10 other guys before Bradshaw, but I'lll give it a chance.

John Bradshaw Leyfield.

I like it, but I'm not coming around to Bradshaw main eventing yet.

I don't think he's going to feud with Eddie. I think tht was just to get him more heel heat. Next week they may have a match and then that's it. He'll move on to something else.

With no SD PPV until May they need one of those feuds that can play out on TV. I could see them building to a Bradshaw-Guerrero match in a few weeks.

I think he would be good in a feud with Cena, considering their opposite personalities.

Yeah, I guess it might be one of those Holly/Lesnar deals. Just a little filler feud until the PPV.

And I was also thinking Cena, but I really don't think I can ever get into Bradshaw as a wrestler. Like I said up there I like the character and all, but I don't know about watching him wrestle for singles titles.

Bleh...if Bradshaw gets the feud with Eddie instead of Booker then something is wrong. His character was actually good I will admit that, but I think it would work better as him being a mananger.

You'd think they'd do a Booker/RVD feud first before he goes after the title wouldn't you though? Those type of things seem inevitable

03-25-2004, 11:14 PM
Yeah I know...I figured that would be the first thing they did, but Booker and RVD didn't end up interacting at all.

You know, Bradshaw is probably one of the smartest guys in the WWE? Stockwise at least. To bad mind doesn't equal talent in the ring. And I don't think his character is ready for main event or ever will be. I was surprised tonight's Smackdown was surpringly good. And did anyone else notice Kurt Angle looked alot like Lex Luther and how Booker T looks alot like Busta Rhymes tonight ?

I actually like the gimmick... Since it represents how he is in real life, he should have no problem keeping the image too. Now they just have to figure out how to make him a good wrestler.

Really liked the whole Bradshaw promo, but here's the thing:

Of course the problem lies that he's still the same old Bradshaw in the ring

The gimmick works fine in the main event scene. The idea of a stuck up financial analyst versus Edddie's 'lie, cheat, n' steal' character even makes perfect sense. But Bradshaw's work always has and always will be mediocre at best. I really hope the plans are for the next SD PPV to be headlined by Eddie vs Booker T and not Eddie vs Bradshaw.

They need to give his clothesline a new name.

Something to go along with the gimmick.

Something like....

THE STOCK DROP!!!

Yeah, that was gay. I'm sorry.

I already hated Bradshaw. He hates on the fans, appears on Fox News (which is unto real journalism what the WWE is to real sports), and he's brought politics into wrestling more than once...

...however, I like his new Heel turn, and that's something different.

Once in a long while, an annoying wrestler proves me wrong and actually impresses me. Bradshaw did that tonight. His new music and titantron and image cracked me up, but his promo was pretty darn good. He's still crap in the ring, but wow, his heel turn presented a fresh new character.

Kudos to Bradshaw and the WWE on this. They really proved me wrong, at least for one night. He'll make a strong midcard heel.

That would actually be a good name for that. That or the Stock Market Crash.

Actually, The Mean Street Posse Double Team Finisher was the Stock Exchange, which was a back body drop into a Sitout Powerbomb

Rodney Finisher was the High Society, Which was a Blockbuster

Why I know this.....I don't know

LOL I loved the mean street posse. The promos leading up the WM match with Shane and Xpac were hysterical. There music was fun too. ahh the golden years...

Anyway back on topic

Bradshaw’s turn can work if he's sorta worked over as IRS like character for 2004. He def needs to come out each week and remind people of how rich he is, how he always makes good picks, does the right thing at the right time. He needs to piss off the common man with his I've gone from blue collar cowboy, to a snobby white collar guy attitude. Sort of like an Austin that ends up being a snob. I dunno about his wrestling skills though, there far from ME ability. I am not sure how the WWE will handle this; I mean they screwed up Val Venus's heel turn, which basically meant him turning into a new Rick rude. We shall see...

I jus t don't know where they can take Bradshaw's character. They want to really push him into the mian event-semi amin events, but I just don't know who he could feud with, after Guererro. Cena perhaps? For the U.S. title? That would work, but it looks like Mr.Dupree Shuffle will be feuding with him instead. Maybe a feud with RVD would work.

I just don't know where they can go with this. Seriously. I like this charatcer though. It reminds me of J.R. from Dallas. Look for Bradshaw to be shot by Ron Simmons later this year.

Well, they did the same storyline (man who lost his tag team partner looking to make an impact) with Bubba Ray Dudley and it failed miserably. But am I the only one who thinks this might be crazy enough to work?

What the WWE needs to do is have these "filler fueds", push the guys that havent been pushed. I am the biggest HBK fan and I am glad he is in the World Title picture but he cant be there forever. I think Bradshaw should get a WWE Title fued with Eddie. I think it would be good pushing the lower card guys. We are at a youth movement with the WWE... WHERE IT ALL BEGINS AGAIN. A New WWE, new fueds! Thats what I want.

That Clothesline from Hell he did to Eddie was once of the best ones I've seen in awhile. He like freakin railed him.
