...Chuck Liddell will be facing Mauricio Rua. (This was announced at the UFC 93 press conference).

Also it's rumoured that the UFC are wanting to hire DREAM heavyweights Alistair Overeem and Semmy Schilt...though with both under contract to DREAM this could prove difficult.

And lastly, in a very odd rumour (see; I felt like posting it since it made me laugh) The UFC are supposed to be interested in re-signing Cro Cop to main event UFC 99 against either Lyoto Machida (if he defeats Thiago) or resign Tito Ortiz...(problems being Tito doesn't want to fight at Heavyweight and Cro Cop doesn't want to fight at LHW)

I don't think Schilt has the ground game to cut it in the UFC but he would be a decent pick up for a thin division. Overeem would be a great acquisition, he has improved alot just over the past year and I think he could potentially be heavyweight champ by the end of the year if he signs.

And Liddell is probably gonna KO Rua unless Shogun's cardio dramatically improves.

Speaking of Rua's...they're replaying the EliteXC Ninja Rua vs. Robbie Lawler show on showtime...dear lord that was a savage beating.

Are the EliteXC shows worth viewing at all? (I haven't seen any of them since I live in Australia, and I'm tempted to download some).

Also I really do hope they pick up Overeem, he'd be a solid addition to the Heavyweights. Even Cro Cop would be good to help pad out the division (and add a semi credible name).

EliteXC had quite a few good shows. The two Lawler-Smith fights were both great.
