Ok, I just bought the Child's Play 20th Birthday Edition about a week ago. Great DVD, it's stuffed with all kinds of bonus feature crap, & it's the 1st widescreen version ever made available. The only thing missing, I thought, was a commentary track with the director Tom Holland. He was the only person not invited to participate making this because there was apparently a lot of bad blood between him & the writers. Well, this website called Icons of Fright has released a downloadable high-quality commentary with Holland. You can direct-download it here (http://www.iconsoffright.com/childsplay/CHILDSPLAY_Holland_commentary.mp3). I'm speechless, this is a kickass concept. :D

That is kind of awesome. I love Child's Play, even though I'm not really gonna be interested in this.
Still, the concept of being able to do this stuff now is great. I love that anyone who wants to can just make their own commentary and then you can stream it from a comp to your player or whatever and it's like it was on the dvd.

In other news, aren't they remaking Child's Play?
I suppose that's a pointless question, since they're remaking EVERYTHING in horror. I heard they were remaking it with Brad Dourif doing the voice.
At least they're "keeping it real", unlike the remake of Nightare on Elm Street.

I'm looking forward to the CP remake, just or these 2 reasons:

Dourif's back as Chucky,
& They're keeping him animatronic.

That would be the one thing that would kill the entire buzz for me, if they made Chucky some gay-ass CGI Gollum thing flinging himself around the screen.
