No Lita. No titles. Just pure sibling rivalry/jealousy.
I'm actually excited about this and will be watching Smackdown for the sole purpose of seeing how it develops.
Just don't let Matt talk too much, continue to pointlessly destroy his brother until a Wrestlemania Hell In A Cell and I'll be a happy chappy.

Don't let Matt talk? Wait what? Out of the two, Matt is a much better mic worker. You on ze crack, sons.
And I am also EXTREMELY excited for the fued. This is going to be awesome if they don't royally fuck it up.

That's another good reason for Christian involved in this on Jeff's side. They could have Edge and Christian do the talking from opposite sides.
We shall see

Matt seems to be a little too over to play a heel right now, but unlike the last time they feuded I'm interested in seeing how this one goes. If Matt really wants to be a heel he needs a new look. He can still look "cool" but he should wear some traditional wrestling pants.
Maybe I'm wrong and fans will actually hate him now since he was so loved.

Matt's bow legs would look goofy in non-bag pants.

Have this end in a TLC Match.

Well, I think he should change his music and maybe stick to all black attire. Same attire, just less flashy.
I think those two changes are all they need in terms of material things. The crowds resentment, promos, and the matches/storyline should do the rest of the work in terms of getting him heat.
But to make him become more brooding and down to business makes sense

That was a great turn IMHO. People react better to unseen turns, as well as turns on established Stars.
Matt has been a face for a long time, and is very over. And his turn was well executed on arguably one of the top 3 faces in the company.
This is going to go over very well and has a great feel to it. I dont think it has been done with these 2.

Good call. Maybe Matt isnt WITH Edge.
He is jealous and wants what Matt Had.
Edge vs Matt vs Jeff. Then Christian shows up, 4 way.
Good call on that ending in a TLC at WM. The 2 teams that started it all.

I don't want to jinx it, but the other two times a wrestler turned on his brother at the Royal Rumble led to two very entertaining Wrestlemania grudge matches. I'd expect Matt vs. Jeff to fall somewhere in between Bret/Owen and Taker/Kane.

That is actually an interesting idea. If it was double swerved and Matt is heel, but with Christian. Then Edge turns face with Jeff.
It could be the whole "brothers in the shadows" team up angle.
This is of course assuming that Christian shows up.

I like idea of all four of them feuding. I wonder if Matt cried on the inside when he helped Edge win the title. I don't know if they patched things up. I honestly don't care. At least they are professional enough to not injure each other in the ring.
I'm pretty excited because I want to see where Christian will fit in with this storyline (if he even does). I like when WWE do things that aren't so blatantly obvious.

lol you act like him helping him win the title is any different from any other type of work together.
If they can have a match 2 years ago, he can "help him win the title" since it's a storyline and job detail and there's more than likely no real emotional angst there about won and lost titles

Both Matt and Edge handled it perfectly last night. Matt didn't even look at Edge and Edge had a great reaction to the whole thing. Even after the match Edge was still worried that Matt might attack him too.

You know, like 100% of the rest of the posts on this board, I wasn't serious right? It's still real to me dammit.

This is fucking awesome right here. I mean, i don't think they will do it because they don't have a main event heel on SD! but this would be an interesting plot. I mean, as long as all four of them get involved in some way, i'm good. Good idea, though. :y:

I like the idea of a Heel Matt on his own.
Edge is too awesome as a heel right now to turn. As much as I like Christian as a heel, he's never really played the face card in the WWE before, and returning from TNA he is going to be more over than ever.
It should be Matt vs. Jeff vs. Edge vs. Christian at WM25 for the WWE Title in a TLC match. That is the match. Fuck money in the bank.

As much as we want this match to happen, it won't... Not to mention, who's to say that it won't suck...And if it did happen, who would win the mother fucker?

So, if this does end up being Jeff vs Matt, who would you give the win to? I would say to give Matt the match due to the fact that Jeff doesn't need it at this moment. Jeff didn't lose the belt cleanly, he has nothing to prove. What say you?

Edge is a great heel. I think he could pull off the swerve with Christain only if Edge goes "insane" saying that he could've beaten Jeff all by himself with Matt coming back saying "you need me."
Hell if anything else, remind people of the rivalry that Christain had with Edge for the IC title (ladder match, and switching back and fourth.) Then you could easily have sides for both, and a classic is brought back.

This feud will either make or break Matt Hardy. Seriously.
If Matt doesn't find a way to 'elevate his level' after this feud, I think his fate will be sealed.
Hopefully, this feud is one for the ages.
So, one might say that it's make it or break it time for Matt Hardy?
As much as we want this match to happen, it won't... Not to mention, who's to say that it won't suck...And if it did happen, who would win the mother fucker?
I'm pretty sure it won't suck. Those four guys together could come up with some amazing spots if it was a ladder match. They started it back in 2000, they can revamp, add to, and improve upon all the ladder matches and spots that have come before. Like Christian going for an Unprettier off the ladder on Jeff, who shoves Christian off into mid-air as Edge spears him to the mat. Stuff like that. It would be amazing.
And I wouldn't care who won. The point would be that they have come full circle from being break through stars in 2000 at the original tag team ladder match at No Mercy to being main eventers at the biggest show of them all, fighting for the WWE Title.
Also, Jeff should win.

Yes......one might say that.
Although ANYTHING can happen, I truly believe that this might be Matt's last chance to lift himself into main-event status.
If he can't do this after his feud with Jeff, then he might as well become the new Val Venis and give blowjobs to Albert backstage and drink his semen.

It'd be pretty hard to fuck-up heel Matt Hardy at this point. He's jealous because he is:
a) The better wrestler.
b) The smarter wrestler.
c) The guy who came up with all their tag team strategy.
d) The first Hardy to have won a singles championship.
e) The first Hardy to have won a World Championship.
f) Less of a fuck-up than his younger brother.
g) Gets hardy any credit for it.
h) The enabler in their relationship, always helping Jeff along, and not vice versa.
i) All of the above.
Matt turning on Jeff makes all too much sense, and would have so much emotional charge to it that I can't see Matt not being at least competent with this. Both Hardy brothers are further along into their development as both wrestlers and personalities since their original feud in 2001 (ew), so I assume that this program between them will be a lot better.
Personally, I hope they don't rush this, and drag out the pay-off to just Matt vs. Jeff until WrestleMania XXV. Matt should probably win so people take him and his new selfish attitude seriously. Also, I think him being aligned with Vickie Guerrero would make sense. He wouldn't need to start being Edge's bitch, but professionally, aligning with the General Manager of SmackDown! is a good career move, and something that a selfish, "looking to get ahead" wrestler would do. Plus Vickie is a heat machine. She'll cannonball any heat Matt Hardy already has for cracking his younger brother, one of the most popular professional wrestlers of the decade, over the head with a steel chair.

I hardly doubt most of those things will be mentioned, but was he the first Hardy to win a singles championship?
Pretty sure Jeff won the IC belt off of HHH long before Matt won any titles
