Well, yes, Juan. But I meant Destor.

I agree to an extent. As I said in another thread, it would work better during a lull in the year, around June. As it is now there are too many gimmick PPVs squished into a small time frame (Counting Mania as a gimmick, which it is).

I agree.

With Juan and Destor being gay.

Elimination Chamber is great.

No, Destor was saying YEARLY ones were gay, not Elimination Chambers themselves.

I like the idea of this on a ppv...just not NWO...these should happen sometime before Summerslam.

Do you think we could get Dibiase or Rhodes in on it too?

I agree that two Elimination Chamber matches in One PPV is a bit much.....but oh well.

I think it's ridiculous that Cena will have to compete in one of these....since there's no way in hell that he'll drop the title here. It's too obvious that he'll win.

Fox

You don't know that.

Maybe Rey will win his first World Title.

What do you want to bet we will see the return of the yearly tradition "Beat The Clock Championship Match," or whatever the fuck those things were? I think they are trying to simplify it so every PPV has a gimmick. On the one hand, it should make for idiot-proof booking, but on the other it is predictable.

But there is NO WAY OUT of the Elimination Chamber

They can always have a Great American Bash in them.

But there is NO WAY OUT of the Elimination Chamber

Yeah there is...Undertaker proved that last year. Plus, there's a hole at the top of the chamber...so HA!

I agree with Destor. It's way too close to Royal Rumble time, which probably should be the biggest gimmick match associated with the World Titles around this time. I love the Chamber, but it works best when there are six men who all have a claim to the title. The next time I'd do one is just after the return of Batista.

Randy Orton vs. Batista vs. John Cena vs. CM Punk vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho at Summerslam or Unforgiven, or something. The idea of the match was punishment, and that has sort of faded away into a "for the hell of it" concept.

The idea of the match was punishment

No it wasn't, the idea was Eric Bischoff's desire to put on the best show imaginable.

And I like the idea of an EC themed PPV, but I agree with Xero that No Way Out is a bad time to do it.

By putting them inside the most hellish structure he could think of, and including the top stars at his disposal. That did not figure in mid-carders like Kofi Kingston.

Is it just me, or does Kofi in a chamber match make a thousand times more sense than Holly in a chamber match?

Jeritron

I don't think it's a bad idea for determining the number 1 contender for the brand that didn't win the rumble.

I do however, think it's lame as hell to have multiple chambers on the same show.

Jeritron

Also, talk about gutting your card.

2 chambers takes 12 guys out of contention for other matches. That makes the rest of the card pretty bare.

Plus they usually make stretches in terms of who is chamber worthy. The stature of an elimination chamber match has come a long way since the first.

Yes, but it still doesn't make sense.
