View Full Version : When Non-fans Watch WWE

So, every now and then my mom will watch part of Raw or SD with my friends and me. And she's trying keep up with names and stories and whatnot. So, I've got ppl over for the Rumble, and she catches the latter quarter of it. And when TBK makes his entrance, my mom says, "Oh, look: Fairycakes." It was pretty :rofl: because she doesn't often comment on things.

I tried to reassure her that he's not gay, just...eccentric. Alas, she remains less than convinced.

I consistently hear comments regarding the titles. As recent as this past sunday while watching the royal rumble I tallied yet another person saying "Is it just me or has every match been for a title? How am I supposed to know if these mean anything?"

Happens everytime

I'll bet TBK grabs on to Ezekial Jackson's skull folds and gives him a ride like you wouldn't believe.

<font color=goldenrod>Yeah my mom commented on TBK too...when he was entering she was like "is this guy supposed to be light in the loafers or something?"</font>

Yea, my mom likes John Cena (probably because he was everywhere the past two years) and my ex two relationships ago liked him and Batista.

What is sooo funny though is that my dad, when he saw a RAW, said he "liked that Dolph Ziggler guy...very catchy name.." (i think that was when he wrestled Batista). Pretty :y: right there but he doesn't really pay attention to anyone nowadays.

Switchout "Ezekiel Jackson" for "Cody Rhodes" and "skull folds" for "slender yet powerful waist" and you've got my attention.

How is an adorable tiny man hanging on to a large black man via the skull folds and dance fucking him not attention-getting?

Non-wrestling fans commenting on wrestling should actually give perspective. Too often it's dismissed, but it really shouldn't be.

Whenever non-fans are around me when watching they just seem to point out every tiny flaw and go on about how fake and predictable it is :o I think they're the predictable ones.

I love the non-wrestling fans who go out and bash it and then go and watch something like "The Real World".

They should love the Miz then.

My Ex had one of those Dish Network setups that had 500+ unique channels, & one of them was all Lucha wrestling. What can I say, her dad really liked TV. :-\ The only wrestler she liked, WWE or otherwise, was La Parka.

I think you could probably replace "non fans" with "fans" or "marks" or "smarks" and it would have about the same validity.

My girlfriend loves Hornswoggle for some reason. Maybe because he has a bigger package than me. :roll:

Fairycakes, awesome to the max.

Shall we motion to have "Fairycakes" as the new TPDub terminology for The Brian Kendrick?

I ended up having 24 people over for The Royal Rumble, and maybe about 8 of us actually cared about the show itself. Even the people who weren't into it were going apeshit for the Royal Rumble, and a few of them thought it was really awesome that The Miz went from The Real World as a wannabe wrestler to the WWE as a "real" wrestler.

Somebody else thought Matt Hardy looked like a huge tool. I was inclined to agree.

They also really liked the spot with Beth kicking Melina in the back of her head with her own foot.

Kane Knight

But JBL is poopy. What's the problem?

Afterlife

So, the tally is now:

Miz = Poochy
Knox = Sweetums
Kendrick = Fairycakes

Are there any I'm missing?

I think The Miz has far outgrown the Poochy moniker. It made perfect sense when he 'hosted' SmackDOWN!, but now he's become much more.

I'll be offended by that remark because am from Ohio and thusly have blind support for its metropolitan areas. I well then quietly agree it, because that's where my car was stolen.

So poochy is poopy? Does JBL have competition?

I lived in Shittsburgh for a year and a half. I wouldn't live in either ridiculous city these days.

LOL he lost his car.

Got it back later that day -- without the cops, to boot.

Northeast for now. About 2 hrs from Cleveland and an hour 45 from Pittsburgh.
