Sean Penn has really never had the lead role. He's been supporting or co-lead in a bunch of stuff but he's usually not the main guy in a well-known movie. Sean Penn is the man too.

Robert Patick...I just got done with Eye See You and he is in it and he does a really good job. I think he should take up lead roles in movies more. The only thing I ever saw him as the lead role in was in The X-Files and Terminator 2 but really in those there were really bigger names before his so they dont really count.

Hoffman and Buscemi, Jason Lee is almost always horrible in lead roles.

If you take away last year that's 7 movies in a 20 year span (Ridgemont being released in 1982). Hell, throw in Dead Man Walking, that still compared to a lot of 'leading men' is relatively nothing in terms of productivity.
