His psychology could probably use some work, but whose couldn't. Now if they could get him in a feud where he does more than rap, pop'n'lock that is what he needs. I still don't know why WWE hasn't focused on the lower card, it isn't like they can't find time for the guys they have, this is the smallest roster in years.

This thread was spawned from me listening to Voices and his theme came on. IT IS FUCKING TERRIBLE. Cena raps circles around him.
There's a chance I'm not being completely fair, seeing as to how I saw about zero of his TNA work, but everything I've seen of him in the WWE (dating back to K-Kwick) has just made me sick to my stomach.
How does he work as a heel?
Triple Naitch
01-30-2009, 01:15 PM
From what I remember he's not awful as a heel. I could see him being a good heel for WWE.
Anybody Thrilla
01-30-2009, 01:17 PM
There's also something in the name 'R-Truth' that just doesn't sit right with me. It doesn't roll off the tongue very easily at all. What's wrong with the name Ron Killings? That sounds just fine. It probably sounds like I'm nitpicking, but I can't get over all the little things enough to enjoy his ring work.
BigDaddyCool
01-30-2009, 01:17 PM
I'm not sure if I ever seens him as a heel. What I've seen of him in TNA and WWE is exactly the same. He dances, "raps", says, "What's Up," the bounces all around the ring. I would like to see them push him into actually cutting promos. Cause he could make it has a uppermid carder easily.

I kinda wished they would've prolonged the Shelton/Truth mini-feud when he first debuted. Shelton's looks of disgust as Truth was making his entrance through the crowd and dancing were great, but it's too bad they didn't let Truth say anything on the mic other than "what's up?" at the time, and the feud was done after a few matches.
He's not great or even very good, but he's not horrible and better than some other guys they've used on the undercard lately. Funny that he got blacker, too. And I didn't realize that he was almost 40 before I looked it up.

Makes sense considering he tried to be a legitimate rapper for so long and served a little time in prison. His 13 months of time is nothing compared to MVP's 9.5 years, though.

If I remember correctly from an Opie & Anthony interview, MVP got arrested after he and his boys tried to steal a boat. MVP ratted out his friends and served less time.

I like his in ring work. I know he is a flippy guy, but I like his style. I like his dancing. It makes him unique and seperates him from other wrestlers.
Also I love his song.

Of course, there are only two ways this dream of mine will ever happen: he turns heel or moves to Raw. SD! & ecw ARE TAPED, so WWE would either dub over top of it, or edit it out entirely.

As far as this Oreo goes, I hate R-Truth. I hate his ring work, I hate his Booker T finisher. The main reason I hate his work is because I fucking hate his Image! Fuck, his Sambo smile and Koon Dancing make me want to drop kick my fucking TV...but then I remember that I love my 52 inch television and then I calm down.

Wait...so just being able to scream "(INSERT CITY HERE)! WHASSUP?!", and then getting any random fan to scream "WHASSUP?!" back when he sticks a mic in their face, is a "connection" with the fans? Sorry, but I think not.

I like R-Truth's ring style. Yea, if he can cut out the dancing then he's cool with me. No big problem here. Idk if that is the writers who are making that gimmick for him or if that is his own but without it i think he can get over.

What Funky Fly likes about R-Truth:
1. He is a naturally gifted athlete and it shows n his wrestling.
What Funky Fly dislikes about R-Truth:
1. The name "R-Truth"
2. Every time he opens his mouth...
3. ... which brings us to his god awful theme songs
4. He dances too much. Take a cue from La Parka and do it only when appropriate.
5. Must he spin every time he does a move? Seriously... stop... spinning.
