So I came up with this idea last night when I was reminiscing with my roommate. We were talking about the old days when we use to make mix tapes using cassettes, back before CD's and iPod's.
So here is the idea. Make a playlist of what ever type of music you like, or a couple different genre's if that helps. Once you have it put together, post it here so others can go and find those tracks and check out what you have put together. The concept is to try and maybe broaden others music tastes by introducing them to what you love. So pick songs that really reflect your favorite music.
A couple guidelines:
* Try to keep the playlist under or around 60 minutes, to go along with the whole mix tape concept.
* Try and only use one song per artist. I know this can be hard, but give it a shot.
* Have fun with it, and organize the list in away that sounds like the mix has a certain flow to it.
* Try and collect tracks from other peoples lists and take a listen to what they have.
* Be open to something a little different.
* Comment here with what you think.
Alright so I threw together my list, and I know I have made it known I love hip/hop, so this wont be to much of a surprise, but give it a listen.
The Notorious B.I.G - One More Chance
Adina Howard - Freak Like Me
Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth - Carmel City
Pharcyde - Passin' Me By
Naughty By Nature - Feel Me Flow
Eric B. & Rakim - Paid In Full
Das Efx - They Want EFX
NaS - Halftime
Xzibit - Paparazzi
The Roots - Do You Want More?!?!?!
Souls Of Mischief - '93 Till Infinity
The Lost Boyz - Renee
Wu-Tang Clan - Tearz
The Fugees - Fu-Gee La
A Tribe Called Quest - Can I Kick It?
