The first three episodes. I don't think I am going to watch it anymore. That main character, the guy who is dating that awful woman that looks like a horse, I hate him. If I saw him out on the street with that horse faced woman I would probably hate him even more.

It tries so hard to be "sophisticated" that it actually comes across as the opposite. All I saw were forced instances of irony and dysfunction that make the show a parody of itself. Maybe that is what it is trying to do. I guess there were parts of it that were entertaining, but from those three episodes that I saw the nuisences and that awful woman are more frequent than the aspiring qualities.

Should I give this show another chance?

Six Feet Under is amazing. I absolutely love everything about that show. Like everything about it is so perfect. is probably what you poindexters are going to reply with.

I'm actually kind of disappointed. The Sopranos was one of the greatest things I have ever seen, so I thought that every show HBO was showing was of that standard.

I didn't like it. I tried skipping ahead and what not, but nothing. To me it's just another crappy ass show that people seemed to like.

Skipping ahead is probably the worst thing to do with a character driven drama to be honest.

And personally I'm a huge fan of this show, which I've said many times here before. If it's not for you then thats fair enough:y:

I really liked it, but I ended up drifting away towards the end of Season 4 for reasons I don't even remember.

I should probably re-watch it someday.

I watched it this summer and really got into it. Def a show that many wouldn't enjoy. IMagine you either really get into it or just not at all interested.

Could never get into it. Seemed rather pretentious.

Yeah I never was able to get into it either. I really really wanted to like it but every single time I tried, I would just lose interest like 3 episodes in.

Watch The Wire instead. Intelligent without being pretentious

Never even tried to watch it, although I am curious, because I have heard good things about it. I've heard that it is weird, but we shall see. Actually, I don't know if I want to try watching it. If I want some Michael C. Hall, I might just stick to Dexter.

The Wire is indeed a great show. Going to get the DVDs of it soon. David Simon is a great man. I love the way that each season takes a different story, sometimes with characters crossing over. And the way each episode opens with a quote...

That show could end up with Oz and Dexter on my list of all-time favourites.
