After watching that segment tonight on Raw where Stephanie was on the phone with Vince, I think it's pretty obvious that she is going to align herself with Randy Orton.

Stephanie McMahon in Legacy would be terrible.

Depends on how they book them on Raw. I for one think it'll be more interesting than the current Stephanie McMahon character.

I think I'd rather see Stephanie McMahon supporting Randy Orton than opposing them. All the McMahons barrelling down at Randy Orton, it seems to make no sense for Orton and Legacy to survive. And the numbers game seems to make his character sympathetic. It'd be like the WWE trying to book Stone Cold Steve Austin as the heel in his feud against Vince.

Putting Stephanie with Orton would at least give Orton the RAW General Manager and an Executive Vice President within the company on his side. And seeing Orton and Stephanie together on-screen has some pretty heavy association.

To be honest, though, I'd rather just see Orton kick Stephanie in the head.

We need as few McMahons on-screen as possible.

So who was Steph on the phone with last night? Unless they stated otherwise, I got the impression that it was someone they're intentionally not naming.

I just get the feeling that things may go way differently than we think. What if HHH wins the title at No Way Out, and Orton challenges him for that belt? What if they involve HHH in the McMahon storyline, acknowledging his marriage to Stephanie on kayfabe? Then, if Stephanie swerves the family and aligns with Orton, it can be done so at the expense of her own husband.

I dunno

I'm guessing she was talking to legendary multigenerational superstar that she has a history with.

I actually figured Shane would be joining legacy at first. One McMahon will be joining.

The RAW report I was reading suggested the same thing. They found it weird that Randy Orton was stressing that he could go for either the World Heavyweight or WWE Championship at WrestleMania, and that Stephanie could have been on the phone to Triple H.

Before the Royal Rumble, it seemed they were using the word "headline" in regards to the what the Royal Rumble winner would do this year. Normally they restrain it to "main event," because now the WWE puts on two World Title matches, and the Rumble winner hasn't actually closed the show since Batista in 2005. That's four years ago.

Much like I couldn't see Triple H not wanting to "main event" WrestleMania XXV, and not want to walk out anything but WWE Champion, maybe he doesn't want to do anything but "headline" the show? I've got to be honest, too, Triple H vs. Randy Orton looks as big on paper as John Cena vs. Randy Orton does.

I guess that makes some degree of sense. She neglected firing him, she never really took any real damage from Orton himself.

Still, she's a bitch and annoying. But then again, so is Orton.

Who knows.

After Shane fails they need to bring in a ringer to fuck up Randy Orton, I don't know who but someone badass.

There is already one whiny, high-pitched, shrieking bitch character in WWE - the last thing we need is a heel Stephanie McMahon fucking up the soundwaves with her ear piercing yelling voice every monday night.

Hopefully if they do turn Stephanie McMahon heel again, then she won't be playing the shrieking little princess character. I'd be hoping for a power-hungry, passionate, controlling, psycho-business bitch Stephanie.

I really got the impression that it was HHH she was speaking to

Which means a HHH/Orton Feud

Wait,

That means that the Edge/Matt/Christian/Jeff ladder match of doom could still happen!

YES YES YES!

Mr. Nerfect

A lot of people sense it would be Triple H, but that gets me thinking: Is that the best move right now? Edge vs. Triple H is being set-up pretty nicely, and I'd personally rather see that on the SmackDown! side. It leaves Edge with nowhere to really go, except to maybe work with Big Show, or something. Ooo, exciting!

Randy Orton jumping to SmackDown! would be kind of cool, but where does that leave Legacy? They just can't jump with him, can they? It's not like they won the Royal Rumble. It also leaves John Cena without a real opponent for WrestleMania. Cena vs. Orton seems pretty direct right now, and does seem like a perfectly serviceable RAW main event (I guess). At least it has the Royal Rumble thing behind it.

I'm thinking that these teases of Orton going over to SmackDown! may just be red herrings, and that we get things as expected: Orton kicks in Shane McMahon's head, it turns out that Stephanie was in fact talking to Orton, and then Orton heads straight for John Cena and the World Heavyweight Championship.

Unless they want to go HBK vs. Cena XXXIV, Cena vs. Orton should be the main

After watching that segment tonight on Raw where Stephanie was on the phone with Vince, I think it's pretty obvious that she is going to align herself with Randy Orton.

I can see the same thing happening:

1) Stephanie being aligned with Legacy ensures that Orton will draw heel heat.

2) This nicely sets up an Orton/HHH feud down the road...with Stephanie involved in the mix.

3) Since the McMahon's have an ego, along with the writers' willingness to kiss Vince's ass (i.e. cutbacks during bad economy), it would make sense that Steph joins the Legacy....if for no other reason than to make Vince look like a "legend" (i.e. since all Legacy members have "legends" for fathers).
