Who do you guys think could go to the WWE today and not only get over, but work into their system?

No former WWE employees.

Larry Sweeney as a manager.

I would love to see the Briscoes on national TV, but their style probably won't convert well to the WWE.

Matt Morgan, even though TNA isn't an indy, and he already worked for WWE.

TNA is in an indy fed. Their biggest stars are druggies who left WWE. Remember, even WoW had fucking PPVs.

Nigel McGuiness
Kenny King
Eric Stevens (although I can't stand him at all, he'd probably fit in in the WWE)
Chris Hero (if he shaped up a bit, his cocky, unnecessarily flashy gimmick could work)
Claudio Castignolli
Hiroshi Tanahashi (not indy, but foreign... I think he could probably play a pretty boy Japanese gimmick and get over.)
Marufuji (not indy, but still)
KENTA (See above)
Joe Doering
There's a few others, but I can't think of them off the top of my head

I think Nigel could work and move into the role William Regal has, and would be a verey good worker in the WWE. But that is about it from WWKDs list.

I would love to see the WWE bring in some japanese talent. It has been too long. They should find a decent tag team and see if the work.

I'd like to point out that Kenny King reminds me a lot of Shelton Benjamin, but he has way more natural charisma.

PAC.
I can have wet dreams over the stuff WWE wouldn't let him do.

OH! And El Genrico! He's the comedy act WWE needs for their younger crowd.

Generico is far too awesome for the WWE...

Also, his diving through two sets of ropes by the corner to nail a tornado ddt is one of the most badass things I've ever seen in my life.

El Generico is one that I would agree with. His gimmick is just so purely entertaining, and he's a guy that people could REALLY get behind. Sort of like Colin Delaney and Spike Dudley, only far better in the ring, and more charismatic than both. The vignettes promoting his debut would instantly make him a Hall of Famer. :shifty:

Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli are another two guys that come to mind. Both men have size to them, but have so much ring talent, as well. Claudio almost was picked up by the WWE. If those two came in together as a tag team, they'd spend most of their time as Tag Team Champions somewhere. They could then go on to have pretty solid solo careers. I could see them being a next generation version of Edge & Christian, really.

Larry Sweeney would be a great addition to the WWE roster as a manager. You just lift his current gimmick, and put him behind a guy like Jack Swagger, and you have instant heat.

Bryan Danielson would fair well in the WWE, in my opinion. A lot of people scoff at that idea, because he doesn't have a "look," and he's not massive. But whatever. The man is one of the best wrestlers in the world today, and if they decided to push him as a "no frills" guy, he could get so over. They could also just bring him in as either Shawn Michaels or William Regal's student, and there's instant heat right there. You could also spice him up by giving him a big entrance, and some snappy ring attire. I could see the WWE maximising the "American Dragon" thing, to the point where he gets pyro and such.

Kenny King is someone that has been really impressing on the independent circuit as of late. I remember people picked him as a guy they wanted to see get signed after Tough Enough 3, which was probably the best Tough Enough for producing talent (John Morrison, Matt Cappotelli and Kenny King all came from it). King has stuck with wrestling, and I am glad. He'd be a good signing, I think.

KENTA, from the pure perspective that he just oozes awesome. He's one of those smaller Japanese guys that is just on an entirely different plain to most guys. You get those smaller guys that are just marketable, or work on a bigger stage, like Rey Mysterio and Tajiri. KENTA is someone that I think could be very much like those guys.

The WWE likes its big men, so someone like Bison Smith seems like they could be a great signing for them. I haven't seen too much of his work, but apparently he's quite good for his size, and given his time in Japan, he probably has a lot of desire to learn and really hone his craft.

Another big guy that I haven't seen work, but has apparently been pretty entertaining in the past, is Brodie Lee. Looking at him, I can't help but think of "My Name is Earl," so the guy pretty much comes with his own gimmick.

So, for those who can't be bothered reading, a potential list:

El Generico
Chris Hero
Claudio Castagnoli
Larry Sweeney
Bryan Danielson
Kenny King
KENTA
Bison Smith
Brodie Lee

Oh, and Rhett Titus. I haven't seen them work, but if the WWE is after a tag team, apparently The Osirian Portal are meant to be very good. I can't believe I left out The Human Tornado, as well.

Another guy that I've been hearing about, but haven't seen work, is Kenny Omega. Would he fit the WWE? I have no clue what sort of style he works. Apparently he was signed to a developmental contract once upon time.

Human Tornado is a cool dude.

Any man that can pimp slap a wrestler over the top rope is cool by my standards.

Yeah Brodie could probably work. He's a good big man and doesn't sell half bad. Like Kevin Nash from way back when, for BDC's reference.

Surprised nobody has mentioned Jacobs & Black. Jimmy would probably have a tougher time due to his size but his psycho emo brawling could work. And Tyler's just a great athlete who's improving all the time.

Oh also if the Osirian Portal bulk up over the next few years they will make it. Smart, smart kids.
