Now that it is looking like this fight might actually happen sometime in the near future, does Brock stand a chance?

You'll have to forgive me for being out of the loop if it is, but why does this fight look like it may happen int he near future? Has the UFC starting going after Fedor again?
And to answer the question, no not yet.

It's about as likely as Fedor Couture right now.
But to answer your question, Lesnar will hold a chance to win no matter who he faces...but right now Fedor would have to be the favourite. In a year or so though I think the advantage would swing towards Lesnar though...

Impact is right when he says Lesnar has a chance, but it's a chance in the sense that everyone has a chance to beat anyone. I wouldn't bet on him though.

I have a gut feeling that Brock will win.

I would give Lesnar a puncher's chance.

Thing is,
I never thought that Brock would totally pwn Randy, I felt for sure that he’s have his ass handed to him, but nope.
So, given his size, and continued training, to say it would be clear cut either way would be foolish IMO

Saying that he owned Couture is a little much.
I was giving Randy the edge in the scoring until Lesnar connected with that punch.

realistically if he went balls out after randy he could have and probably would have blown him out in the first, but he felt him out a bit. When he decided to get intense (after the eye cut) we all saw what happened.

Im just wondering if you were looking at him as just a professional wrestler that is now in MMA or do you also know about his ncaa experience?
With his athleticism and his wrestling skill at what it is, I can see him man handling every fighter out there other than guys that can catch him with submissions, and theres only three of those.

he looks too heavy on his feet. i really don't think it'd be a contest at all. the only thing he has on fedor is size.

I was aware of his NCAA past, but I just thought that Randy would take him based on octagon experience more than anything, shows what I know

theres every chance randy underprepared if you look at brocks first two fights. first he lost and second he went to a decision with a stand in fighter. how he got a title shot after that i'll never know, but whatever. if this fight ever happens i will bet £100/$100 with the first person to accept it that fedor wins.

His 2nd fight was very impressive, Heath Herring is super tough to finish if you don't know really good submissions. He doesn't really get koed and his ground game allows him to escape really brutal ground and pound (unless you're Fedor Emelianenko). Brock dominated him standing and on the ground.
What makes Brock's standup so scary is not only the crazy strength behind it but the fact that he could be taking you down as well so it's hard to defend... that's the reason his under developed striking was able to take on Randy.
