– Dwayne Johnson was recently in Hong Kong, doing promotional work for the Disney film, Race to Witch Mountain. Johnson was part of a parade in the Hong Kong Disney, and took questions from the media. When asked about a possible return to wrestling, he stated…
“I retired five years ago. That was a character I loved playing. That gave me the great opportunity to move on and to transition. That created a platform for me that can never be duplicated.” He went on to say, “WrestleMania is coming up and I’ve been speaking with Vince [McMahon] about my participation.” To read the full interview where Rock talks more in-depth about what he’d like to do specifically at WrestleMania this year, click here.

The best way for Dwayne Johnson to participate with Wrestlemania is as a spectator.

Coconuts are full of milk and covered in hair, like a Mongolian woman's breast. That's not gay. It's just...unsettling.

Or a guy's balls.
Which is gay.

Completely disagree.
It would be a HUGE benefit for the WWE if The Rock appeared in a match at Wrestlemania.
Rock/Cena would not be the equivalent of Rock/Hogan or Rock/Austin, but the hype surrounding a Rock/Cena match would be incredible....easily bigger than anything that the WWE could currently put together.

Even odder: Banana Cream was one of the various pie varieties of which I dreamt.
Also, Rock needs not come back for a one-time appearance. It would be a waste.

Yea, The Rock being involved in WM would be cool. I mean if he didn't show up then i wouldn't be disappointed, but if he was in a match with Cena that would be Godly.

I like the idea of John Cena vs. The Rock. But I doubt The Rock would be wrestling. It'd likely just be a promo with Randy Orton, or something. If they did do Cena/Rock, I think it would be huge, though.
Cena/Austin would expose Cena's personality as too PG, and Cena/Hogan would just suck from an in-ring perspective. Cena/Rock puts two personalities that I could would mesh, rather than clash, and The Rock still has his hips.

"Participation" does not mean wrestling.

Cena vs Rock would force a heel turn though. There's just no way to describe the amount of heat he would get from the crowd, and the support The Rock would get

Well, with WWE logic...everyone is gonna wonder why the hell they're calling Dwayne Johnson, "The Rock".

The Rock should Participate in the Jericho feud. could you imagine the hot promo that The Rock could cut? I'd have Rocky be the valet for whoever this guy that will face jericho.

The Rock serving as interim General Manager while the McMahons rest up would be pretty mark-out worthy. He couldn't be there all the time, but he could film a few vignettes for them, surely?

I'd like to see Rock in a non-wrestling role at 'Mania. Maybe since SCSA is going in the Hall this year, maybe they should just put Rock in. He's obviously never going to come back in any permanent capacity as long as he can make the 7 digit (or more) paydays that Hollywood offers.
