I was watching ECW this past week and I was wondering is it just me or dose Paul Burchill looking a little more muscular in his match with Boogey? I can see a little mid card feud between Boogey and Burchill in the works but is it just me or dose Paul look like he's bulking up?

I guess it would be the tights he is wearing. Does he still do the flip bottom?

he looks to be bigger, although a Boogy/anyone feud isn't good news...

I'd say he looks fatter, not more muscular.

Is he winning or is Boogeyman losing?

Last week it seemed like Boogeyman lost.

Burchill does look a bit bigger, but I don't think it's muscle. And no, he doesn't use the Flip Bottom (C-4) anymore, but he totally should.

Rollermacka, can you just not type the word "does" or are you doing it on purpose? It's always bugged me.

Yeah, he definitely needs to start doing that again.

HOW DARE YOU MAKE FUN OF MY DYSLEXIA!!!! :'( Ok I'm not but I'm a "two finger typist" who still types 60 words a minute. "Does" must just be one of those words that I frequently push the keys backwards when spelling.

Fair enough. At least you can type "feud" correctly.

Back to Burchill, I've said this before (certainly on-air), but I'd love to see him in the ECW title hunt. I've always thought he was a great worker and should be used as such. Maybe this is his start? I fucking hope so.

I would also like to see Burchill put into a title shot position. I dont hink he does the C-4 anymore is there an actual finisher he uses regularly now? He use to use the curb stomp but I thought it was kinda borring maybe he could go back to that "rings of saturn" type armbar he use to use on smackdown.

People doubted me when I said the WWE was "grooming" him. I didn't say he was going to main event or anything, but people thought he was bound to be a jobber forever, for some reason, and now he's starting to get momentum. I probably just jinxed it, though.

As for Burchill's size, I think it is just the tights he is wearing. Burchill looked huge on the British scene, and he wore the smaller attire. He wore the long pants in the WWE, and looked smaller. Then he threw on the smaller tights and looked massive again.

Burchill could be one of those guys that can play a monster without being 300lbs. He's got the moveset for it. Between the Curb Stomp, Flying Knee Drop, his awesome moonsault, and Royal Mutilation, he is pretty set. If he used The C4 against smaller guys, it would be awesome, too. There is no reason he can't one day finish Evan Bourne off with that move.

Truthfully, I'd like to see a CM Punk vs. Paul Burchill feud over the Intercontinental Championship.

He did use the Curb Stomp for a while, which I thought was pretty cool, but not as a finishing move. I like it as a "hey look, I'm beating this guy up, boo me" type of maneuver, mid-match.

Just before he disappeared from RAW, he was using a move called the "Twisted Sister." It was basically a neckbreaker, although he did put a good leap into it (hey, that pretty much makes it a Reverse RKO).

Good job, Noid. :p

I'd also enjoy a Burchill/Punk feud, but I just don't see it happening. I could definitely see him being a major player on ECW in the near future (especially if/when Christian leaves the brand). I'd love to see Paul elevated a bit more, but just seeing him on TV and seeing him win suffices for now.

Now bring back the damn C-4 already!

The Twisted Sister is #4, and isn't the best clip of it, I'm sure. It seems like an earlier version of the move (like how The Miz's Reality Check used to just be a plain neckbreaker before it added the knee lift). The Royal Mutilation is #2.

Finally you are starting to understand. You just have to wait and see instead of making ridiculous claims off one or two matches. But still, there is little point in this one, beating Boogen in a fued only seen on tuesday nights means nothing.

What? What are you talking about I'm not getting to understand? How do you think burchill is being groomed for anything by have a feud with boogen on the least watched brand of WWE? I love boogen more than any body, but lets face it, fueding with boogen (win or lose) gains no momenteum, and is basically just time filler.

Boogen is kept on ECW so they have a reason to be on Sci-Fi. So the basically have to give him stuff to do. Right now, that is a program with Burchill. There is no thought in it besides that.

BTW, I have nothing against Burchill other than he has no charisma in the ring. Techincally he is capibable of putting on a match, but he just doesn't have it.

I disagree with you. Not about the Boogeyman stuff, but how is it correct for you to assume "The WWE is absolutely not putting any more thought into this" and not for me to say "I think the WWE is."

The change in look, the move to ECW, the gimmicks he is constantly saddled with to get him to play characters, him being chosen to work with a new member to the roster, etc. all led me to believe that the WWE sees something in Burchill. Maybe you're right, and they don't -- but they are idiots for keeping him signed through their "Black Friday" period of releases, and to keep paying the guy's contract after five years of being "time filler." Plus, it was just a feeling I got. Sometimes instincts are right.

Maybe you are correct, and Burchill never amounts to anything, and is released tomorrow. But so far, things are looking better for Burchill than they were maybe two months ago, which I was correct about. We'll see if it continues, shall we?

How did he agree with me? He basically said Burchill winning means nothing and he's going nowhere. I'd say that it means something, and there is a good chance he is going somewhere.

BigDaddyCool

Doing nothing on Raw and feuding with boogen is about equal, it is more of a lateral change, not an improvement.

I'm not saying WWE doesn't see anything in Burchill, but with as thin of a roster as they have right now, that is what is keep him employed.

Mr. Nerfect

It hasn't kept a lot of other people employed, though. I'm not of the viewpoint that ECW is a show that means nothing to the WWE, I'm sorry. I am of the opinion that is a grooming zone to groom younger talent, give them some practice, before shipping them off to RAW or SmackDown! with some actual momentum behind them.

Being ECW Champion, like it or not, is better than being IC or US Champion for your overall standing with the company. Sure, Burchill is nowhere near that at all (and he might not ever be), but getting a push on ECW is better than not getting a push on RAW or SmackDown!. If we cannot agree on that, then we have nothing to discuss, because it's going to be a dead-end.

Wait and see only has one context.

Also ECW isn't a grooming brand, it is a make it or brake it brand. Burchill is on the same path as Big Daddy V, Sabu, Burke, Throne, Colin Delany, and Balls Mahoney.

No, it doesn't. Wait and see can be used as a cocky prelude to "I told you so," it can be used as legitimate advice ("Will we be playing football this Friday?" "I don't know, wait and see how the weather is."), among others.

That's your opinion of Burchill, and that's fair enough. Hell, you may be right. We'll see, though.
