Don't know if I'd pick 10 and I hate this cause there's still 2009. But #1 is Modest Mouse's The Moon and Antarctica

If Tool's "Lateralus" isn't on your list, then that list is void.

Anyways, I don't think there has been 10 albums this decade that have really impressed me. Maybe 4-5...stretching to six, but 10, nah.

NIN - Year Zero
NIN - With Teeth
Tool - Lateralus
Modest Mouse - Moon & Antarctica
Modest Mouse - We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank
Muse - Origin of Symmetry
Radiohead - Kid A

Past that, I don't know.. Those are the major albums that stood out for me, but I know there are more albums from 00+ that I definitely thought were amazing.

cKy - Infiltrate. Destroy. Rebuild.
Fightstar - They Liked You Better When You Were Dead (US Album version)

Agreed with all posted above. Believe that Dr. Dre's "2001" as well as Eminem's "The Marshall Mathers LP" should be included also.

Fabien Barthez

Because it's fucking shite.

De-Loused and Goliath by Mars Volta are probably my 2 favourite albums of the last 10 years.

Dre 2001 is deffinately my favourite hip hop album for sure. The second KOL record is awesome. Up The Bracket by the Libertines is a favourite of mine. Songs For The Deaf by QOTSA. Elephant by White Stripes.

Thats 7. So I am well on the way.

Really Assman, a neg rep for that?

Is the cool thing around here still to like obscure bands that limited people have heard of? Keep in mind I'm talking world wide here, I could easily pick a bunch of Australian Indy bands and think I'm cool because I've heard of them too. I think I'll just make my way out of the music forum again.... :nono:

Assman negs people who like things he doesn't, or dislike things he does. Just reference anyone who's ever dissed his precious Nintendo Wii (which is a piece of shit system). He'll get over it.

But seriously, Green Day is crap now. :shifty:

even if i were attempting to make a more mainstream friendly top 10, american idiot wouldn't touch it. not because it's bad, but because it's not that good. hell, green day have put out better albums than that one.

Tazz Dan
02-26-2009, 04:04 PM
Nah that's cool guys, thanks for the heads up. I'll just make sure next time I do a top whatever list I'll PM you all to get approval so I don't make the silly mistake of posting something I personally enjoyed. :y:

Oh, and WeX, I know they've realeased some great shit over the years, but not during the 00 period.

Tazz Dan

And before anybody jumps down my throat, I'm not critisizing anyones choices here. We're all entitled to our personal favourites aren't we?

Why would anyone even try to post a "top 10 albums" objectively? That is a retarded concept. Everyone is just posting their favorite 10 albums, as they should. Saying things like "I can't believe ____ is not on your lists!" is COME ON

El Vaquero de Infierno
02-27-2009, 06:53 PM
Tool - Lateralus
Deftones - Deftones
Down - Down II
Regina Spektor - Soviet Kitsch
Rilo Kiley - More Adventurous
Sufjan Stevens - Seven Swans
Whiskeytown - Pneumonia
Nickel Creek - This Side

I'll add two more when others come to mind.

It was more of a suprise thing. The album I mentioned was pretty fucking huge over here, I just assumed it must of been in America also.

I think it was another case of people over analyzing a comment.
