I'm sick of hockey and want baseball to start.

Hockey playoffs need to hurry up and start.

sure you say that now, but wait till the off season. i was just talking to someone about it just the other day the hockey season is too long, they need to shorten it up or start earlier. having playoff games almost into june just seems wrong.

well that's just it... Hockey's regular season just seems to drag on for way too long.

baseball has something like 142 games in a season... hockey has 82... quit complaining... you're just getting old so your attention span is starting to slow down.

Yeah it's weird. This is like the most "intense" part of the regular season (teams fighting for playoff spots and the like), but I just find myself not all that concerned about it. Perhaps that is because no teams that I really like are making any playoff noise, so it's just boring to me.

162 games Cheebs. But you see the pace of them (baseball) is relaxed and calm. Hockey is intense and in your face. Too much of that just wears you down, causes you to lose interest. It's like "enough already" lets get the party started.

I get like this every year around this time.

I think starting the season earlier would be a good idea. Living in Minnesota, hockey is huge. The most intense hockey times are around Christmas when everyone goes to the rinks a lot, and then about a month ago when the State High School tournament takes place. By the time the playoffs get deep its already becoming summer and hockey season is over. Even last year when the Wild made their push, by the Anaheim series there was so much else going on. If the Stanley Cup took place earlier I think it would get more attention in states like Minnesota, Michigan, and New England states, then again what other states watch hockey?
