Okay I'm watching Smackdown now... and I find it weird
They change the name of Cena's FU to the Attitude Adjustment... but why does MVP keep his move name... Drive-by?
Doesn't make sense.
and of course JR saying the move is deadly...

Because violence is perfectly acceptable for children to be exposed to. Sex, language and thought provoking material are not.

WWE is so ass backwards it isn't even funny anymore.
Next they're gonna name Burchill's finisher the Curbstomp. Nothing wrong with encouraging violence but you can't say anything that maybe considered vulgar.

Really? It's WRESTLING. The entire concept is built around fake violence.

That's exactly why I think it is a silly idea to market towards children, anyway. Sure, kids will always watch cartoons and stuff, but as long as kayfabe exists, professional wrestling is going to carry a socially unacceptable violent stigma.
If I were a parent -- I wouldn't let my kid watch professional wrestling. The morals are shit-ass backwards. If a woman says "I don't want to show you my boobs, I'd much rather be known for my talent and dedicated to my craft," she's the biggest bitch in the world. If a male under contract tries to use words to settle his problems, he's a coward. Cracking someone over the head with a sledgehammer is more acceptable.
Wrestlers are controlled by their demons on-screen. They're puppets to their testosterone and emotions, and any art in the performance is lost because of the shaky morals kayfabe presents. But if we're going to have a cliched action hero go after the "bad guy" with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, we certainly can't have him use implied curses.
I thought they called it the tripod kick or something. Wait a minute! doesn't HHH do the "Suck it!" thing?

I direct that at the "violence vs sex" debate. Slim does make a comical point, but whatever. That's the least of contradictions

They changed the FU to the "Attitude Adjustment"? LMFAO. What's next, changing the "Swanton Bomb" to the "Swanton Big Bang"? Come now, WWE, nothing good can come of marketing to children.

Christian's finisher is called the Killswitch, what will they change it to? The AfterLife Switch? How bout the non natural causes switch? We shall all stay tuned...

I assumed they've gone back to calling it the Unprettier.
So what's the new name for Taker's submission manuver?

This is a WWE thing?
You can show a violent movie on TV uncut as long as there is no sex or swearing. Or too much blood, but since WWE's cut that out, it's not really a relevant point. Break bones? Fine. Cut heads off? Fine, as long as it's not bloody. Say fuck?
Won't someone PLEASE think of the children?

Happens more often than you'd think. Every few years to be exact, mainly to try and keep the product seeming as fresh as possible without turning off their target demographic (18-49 yr. old males). I could name examples, but I won't since there aren't a lot I can think up ATM.
Who cares what the name of the move is? They could change the F-U to the Moss Covered Three Handled Family Credenza for all I care.
