Encountered a strange thing playing in some ffa earlier. Jump in a game and notice this kid had the 10th prestige emblem spinning thingy, but was only rank 70 no prestige. He had the cheat where he could carry three separate guns at all times like I've seen other hacked 10th prestigers have. The really weird thing is, that after talking to the kid he kept talking about his rank. After asking him about it he told me to check the global ranks for #256, did that and was like how? Fucker wouldn't tell me, but I continued playing with him. After about 5-6 games he was saying how he had moved up from 256 to 145 in the world.

Was really pestering the kid on how he did that, but no dice. Finally he lagged out of our game. Also noticed that there is a lot of people with a impossibly high amount of kills, low K/D(like negative), and low deaths in the top 500 like the kid I played with had. Still pondering over what kind of hack that kid was using.

Remember watching a video for how to do it on youtube (has since been yanked) basically you hack the server that stores your info and you edit the coding to reflect the amount of kills/deaths/streak/prestige that you want.

I ended up in a modded lobby last night where if you held down x while shooting it shot almost 5 times as fast and the reload was almost instantaneous. The 2 guys that were running it had messed up names with letters replaced by what looked like buttons on the controller. Also the one guy could talk to both teams during the match and had things like continual UAV and map hack. They were also at 10th prestige lvl 70 and getting K/D ratios like 22-1 while getting nukes every round or two. Another funny thing is that everyone on their team got tons of experience for even the lowest amount of kills. The way they were talking it sounded like it was done by manipulating their Xbox because the guy running it said he wasnt going to turn his Xbox off so he wouldnt lose the mod.

They should hire or at least promote ACTUAL gamers with good reputations (I.E zero complaints against them at all) to look out for them and report them.

It wouldnt be that hard to do, basically IW has it that reports from their gamer lookout accounts are looked into first, that way they have people at ground zero who see these glitches/hacks/etc being used and who can report it.

These accounts wouldnt have anything different about them and there would be no way to tell who these people are, the only people who would know everyone is IW.

Hell two people could be in the same lobby as lookouts but not know it.

It would be a very good way to root out the cheaters and like I said, you need an excellent rep to be considered to be one.

Alot of gamers would likely do this for nothing to bring the quality of gaming up, definitely something I would love to see.

Yeah I think the guy I played with had something like that continual UAV junk. As he would kill me and then be like "oh you spawned by the gas station?" Then he would run over there and try to kill me again.

The kid was god awful though, mod or no mod. I ended up winning maybe 4 out of the 5 or so matches we played. Didn't really give the guy any stress, as he wasn't really affecting my gaming. I was mostly just curious of what he was up to.

SitRep Pro = Louder enemy footsteps (which I have found is incredible with my 5.1 system).

My older brother consistently finishes top which makes it even more annoying. Bit pissed that I can't have two usernames without paying, gf likes shooting games so she's playing on this as much as I am.

Any tips for a noob? I got a perk yesterday that stops you being recognised by the choppers etc which seems to help shitloads.

If you see something move, shoot. If you hit there will be white x where your crosshairs used to be, nervous about a room, frag/flash/stun if you see a white x, it damaged/hit an enemy, if you see two white x's, there is more then one.

For you guys, I would try this set up here

Any gun you have with silencer
Any shotgun you have with silencer
Sleight of hand (helps reload and later aim faster)
ColdBlooder and if not, Hardline
Commando (increase knife distance and later no fall damage)

Use
UAV (shows enemies positions, if you want to hunt or avoid is up to you)
Care package (you will get a can of red smoke, make sure there is nothing above you and toss it on the ground, then move away a little as there will be a crate dropping and it can kill you, crate will have ammo or a random killstreak (anything from UAV to AC130)
Sentry Gun (works same as care package, except the sentry gun can be place somewhere you are not, great in a high traffic area as it cuts off movement that way and also great because alot of the time, the AI in the gun is smarter then and watches your back better then your teammates) great for noobs who get a 5 kill streak, as they can run and hide for a bit while racking up kills)

Ill try to get you two into a private match with me to help you out more.

I can't adopt the grenade a room strategy because I play hardcore deathmatch with my friends and killing them isn't an option haha. It's not the actual moving and killing that's a problem it's just the sheer depth to everything around it.

At the moment I'm playing with the latest assault rifle that I have unlocked (kicks ass, like it's accuracy and devastation) although I was previously playing with an automatic gun with decent success. Anyway I have this assualt rifle and I've unlocked the grenade launcher attachment (probably should have played the game cos God knows how I use that). I need the helicopter repellant because otherwise I'm fucked, don't use the knife at all.

I'm following my brother at the moment and I'm picking it up, I'm just surrounded by veterans who seemingly know the game inside out and what works best. I'll get there just the jump from COD2 to MW2 is immense. I like the domination games, good times.

Brother is trying to get me to get the latest map pack but told him to fuck off until I get used to the original stuff. Addictive stuff.

There is your problem, you are playing HC.

Basically play a few matchs of TDM and you will see the routes and high traffic areas and the vantage points you see from killcams, after awhile, go back to hardcore.

Hell, not bragging but I am very good at TDM and Ground War, but get my ass kicked in hardcore still unless I play for awhile and get used to it again.

I hate not seeing killcams though, because people camp way too fucking much in hardcore, usually with heartbeat sensors, which makes it pretty much mandatory for ____/Cold Blooded/Ninja

Anywho, I cant help you with hardcore, need help with that, get Requiem, that guy is insane at it.

With the Barrett, you shouldn't need to follow someone after the first shot. ;)

Normal gameplay will teach you fundamentals. Do it. At least 6 hours worth. I also recommend objective gametypes to learn the maps faster.

Best to do is no time limit, domination, 750 point limit.

Hard to learn with a crosshair on your back all the time.

Mine would have to be on Estate. Over where the little boat house is on the side, you can climb up the barrels on the side, jump over to the pole, and then jump on the house. Stick a tactical insert up there, and you just snipe all day long.

On Estate on the pile of logs to the side of the house, beside the little shed. You can see everyone trying to come over to attack the front of the house and see the boat house. It's perfect. Just have to be aware of people flanking you from the greenhouse, but even then you just crawl into the long grass while they stumble around looking for you and do a bit of knifing.

Blue dot in south offices, thats me. I snipe into the area where the red box is and anywheres in between.

The green dot at the bottom of the stairs is how I place the claymore, as they dont see it until its too late, since I have scavenger, I pull out my shotty and go reset it after it goes, off.

When I make a sniper shot and get a kill, I crouch right away, pop up and look and fire if there is someone and crouch again if there is not.

I normally only reload if I have 4 or less bullets left, sometimes I run out if I keep killing and people keep coming into view.

I would snipe him a few times or something and then he would come around and I have the shotgun out and I would blast him in the face. Then some thing again where I was running to a different spot and he was randomly there and I blasted him again, then had to hide for an emergency airdrop. Then I went back to the first spot and started killing him again lol

Yeah along those lines with you. The radius of it's ability to kill is impressively annoying (for me). Like somebody could catch me with a passing blow maybe on my shoulder and that's me dead. Maybe it's a gameplay thing that Kalyx can explain in idiot language for me it just seems a tad unrealistic. If I'm going to die by knife I want them have to work at it or at least have some skill involved.

That is good, also, if I spawn at the other side I turn left and go round the back of the garage bit and immediately snipe anyone who takes up those positions you're talking about. Usually can get 3-4 kills out of it immediately from people hanging round there then fucking around the front of the house trying to spot me.

Yeah. First thing I do if I get the opposite spawn is go into the garage, and run out the side door, just a little past the little wooden wall outside, and aim for that spot. Also with that little wood wall, if you go prone, there's one section with a crack big enough for you to aim at the windows of the estate, and take out anyone sniping from there without them seeing you.

Had a sick throwing knife kill yesterday on Salvage. Was on the dumpster looking over the broken wall on the defense side (if playing S&D), looking out into that big opening in front of the big warehouse by A.

Anyways.. like 3 people come out from random spots, all running toward my direction. I shoot one, and the other 2 start gunning for me.. bullets flying over my head.. One of them bolts straight at me from a decent distance, so I jump backwards off the dumpster figuring I need to get out of the way... AS I'm falling, I aim for the center of the opening and tap right bumper and sail a knife over the wall, falling out of view just as it nails this guy. Was such a great LOL moment.

was playing online a couple of days ago. Some guy was talking mad shit in free for all. Told me I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn (ironically I was 12-3-5 at the time). So we are playing Wasteland and I'm on one side of the shrubs and he is on the other. So I just randomly lob a semtex over the wall. All of a sudden I hear Fuck you Splaya. Yeah it stuck to him :lol:

I love the AK and Desert Eagle now. I never used them before because the AK never seemed that great, and I had heard the DEagle wasn't as good as other pistols.

Set up a class with both on it though, and I am in love with them. I run silencer/FMJ or silencer/heartbeat on the AK, and tac knife/fmj on the deagle.

Since I've never used them since prestiging, I am able to keep track of my kills with them on the challenges list. Just since I started using them a couple days ago, I've got 429 AK kils, and 196 deagle kills. In Hardcore, the deagle absolutely rocks people. LOVE IT. Once you get used to the recoil, you can pwn anyone with it.

was playing a HQ game on crash yesterday, and the HQ was in that two story small building in the back by B bomb site. Went up top and was DESTROYING people with the deagle. Held it off the entire duration.. was the only person left on my team and my teammates were just rofling at how badly I was raping the other team.

Pistol one.. knife another.. pistol 2 as they came up the stairs.. turn around and wait cause I hear someone coming up the ladder.. Knife him.. turn around and more are coming up the stairs. Went on like that till the HQ changed spots. Absolutely love being a 'beast' in this game. I think I have more fun using difficult weapons like the deagle or the FAL because when you do good with them, you feel way more of a badass.

What grates me is when I use one for a brief period to take out a nest everyone gives me shit so I stopped using it. Fast forward a couple of days and everyone does it to me (unrelated players).

Was playing search and destroy last night for the first time (loved these games in the originals). A load of kids were playing but they were fucking amzing compared to me. I hated being the last man standing though because you know all your team is watching. Was defending one time, screwed up a shot (gave an inanimate object hell though) with five seconds to go, so just sprinted away. The guy I was shooting was all like 'where was he' and my team were just like 'he ran away'. Didn't really want to talk to kids so didn't bother.

Rate of fire and damage, a well placed Barrett hipfire can kill even after 5 UMP bullets have hit.

I think I have made the most hated setup in the game. Been rocking an ACR red dot with the AA-12 as my secondary, with the claymores as my equipment. Using scavenger, stopping power, and ninja as my perks. Have not played a game yet where someone didn't mouth me for using this setup.

i cant tell you how many tenth level prestige fucks ive played against that use dual shotguns and noob tubes. Those bastards are the biggest culprits. Play the game to your stengths and dont listen to them. If theyre good enough, theyll know how to adjust and not die so much...if not, then clearly they arent as elite as they think they are.

Perhaps the biggest news from Activision's countersuit filed this morning against former Infinity Ward executives Jason West and Vince Zampella is the mention of Modern Warfare 3.

According to the countersuit, West and Zampella entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), an agreement between two parties, with Activision and Infinity Ward in connection with Modern Warfare 2 and "any subsequent Infinity Ward projects" back in March 2008. This MOU apparently included certain rights for Modern Warfare 3, which Activision says in its countersuit that development for the third title was delayed intentionally by West and Zampella in order to leverage their rights under the MOU to "obtain further advantages for themselves and concessions" from Activision.

"West and Zampella contend that, pursuant to the MOU, so long as they were employed at IW, their written consent was required for certain decisions related to the Modern Warfare brand," the countersuit says. "As a result of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, West and Zampella were prohibited from withholding such consent unreasonably or in bad faith."

"Nevertheless, prior to the termination of their employment with Activision, West and Zampella unreasonably and/or in bad faith refused to provide this consent in an effort to gain an unfair advantage in negotiations with Activision and in an improper attempt to gain an advantage for themselves in connection with their plan to leave Activision and establish their own company," the suit states.

"Among other things, they delayed pre-production of Modern Warfare 3 and attempted to improperly leverage their rights under the MOU to obtain further advantages for themselves and concessions from Activision."

The countersuit continues on to say Activision has had to spend additional development costs for the project due to Zampella and West breaching the MOU.

"As a direct and proximate result of this breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing, Activision has been forced to commit additional resources to Modern Warfare 3, institute litigation to seek a declaration of rights, and incur costs and attorneys' fees, and will incur additional expenses in connection with securing the benefits of the MOU."

"Accordingly, Activision has been damaged as a result of West and Zampella's actions in an amount to be proven at trial."

An Activision representative told IGN the company has no additional comments about the development of Modern Warfare 3.

It's not a matter of "if" but "when" -- there's a new Call of Duty game coming out this year, make no mistake about it.

According to a teaser in the latest issue of Official PlayStation Magazine UK, we'll find out more next month, prior to E3. The magazine teases an exclusive reveal of the title in its next issue, which is said to hit newsstands on May 17. Outside of the fact that the game will feature at least one grenade, that's all of the information we have right now.

FAL is the single shot rifle. Pretty hard to be good with, because you have to aim right where you want it, instead of having a burst, or being able to just hold down the trigger. Can't just spray across someone. Just saying, as far as assault rifles go it is a pretty 'difficult' gun to use successfully.

Also, just got my Fall camo for it yesterday, which made me quite giddy.

I can't believe I managed to get the mastery for the FAL.

But combining it with the FMJ does make it pretty powerful. Then again it helps that I can fire like mad because I'm using mouse+keyboard.

I use heartbeat when I play headquarters, because more people tend to not use ninja there. Usually use HB with bling so that I can get a sight or a silencer on my gun too.

Other gametypes, I just run a holo sight mostly, or a silencer if it's a gun with a good iron sight (UMP, M16).

Holographic is definitely my favorite of the sights though, and I use it on most of my guns when using sights.

There are times where I see that we are playing a weaker opponent, and I do want to bring my k/d ratio up. But most of the time, I am looking for the win and not to boost my k/d ratio. People will piss and moan when I play highrise and I end up going like 6-3-4 and the guy who goes 18-1-17 will be like, "Why aren't you getting more kills". It's like sorry guy, I make my kills count.

Yeah no kidding. My k/d is decent, i think its at 1.30 right now...but when i play a skirmish game, i dont keep that in mind...if it dips, it dips, so long as we win. I dont mind someone playing skirmish for k/d if they can actually blend it into a factor for winning (such as being a solid defender).

Typically if the lead if secured, i'll start focusing on k/d.

It depends what was modded. They ban the profile if you're cheating online or hacking your profile and ban the console if you're pirating/JTAGing.

The second map pack for the blockbuster Modern Warfare 2 will be released in the second half of 2010, an Activision executive confirmed today. That will be the first fresh dose of Modern Warfare since the recently-issued Stimulus Pack.

During a company financial earnings call, Activision's Thomas Tippl said that the back half of the calendar year will include both the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops as well as a new Modern Warfare 2 expansion. Black Ops is in development by Activision's Treyarch team. The second map pack, Tippl said, is being made by Infinity Ward.

No further details about the map pack were offered.

When asked about the $15 price of the first Modern Warfare map pack, the Stimulus Package and whether it will stick, Tippl said: "The $15 price point has still provided a fantastic value to gamers.. we think that has worked."

Activision has announced that the second Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 map pack, called the "Resurgence Pack," will hit Xbox LIVE on June 3.

Xbox Live's Major Nelson had Infinity Ward "creative strategist" Robert Bowling on his podcast (http://majornelson.com/archive/2010/05/13/an-interview-with-robert-bowling-on-the-mw-2-resurgence-package.aspx) recently to talk about the upcoming Resurgence Map Pack (http://www.joystiq.com/2010/05/13/modern-warfare-2-resurgence-pack-adding-five-more-maps-on-june/) for Modern Warfare 2. Set to release on June 3 on Xbox Live, the pack will be priced at 1200http://www.blogcdn.com/www.xbox360fanboy.com/media/2007/11/microsoftpointslogosmall.gif ($15) -- the same as its predecessor, the Stimulus Pack (http://www.joystiq.com/tag/stimulus-package). Resurgence will feature maps old and new, including two Call of Duty 4 maps and three new locations:

Vacant -- the wide open Russian office complex from CoD4
Strike -- the urban town surrounded by hotels from CoD4
Carnival -- an abandoned carnival area with a Ferris wheel, fun house and other attractions
Trailer Park -- full of "super tight corridors" and featuring a pool ("Mobile Estates," Bowling calls it)
Fuel -- a "sniper haven" based in and around an oil refinery

Bowling says that the new maps will be tied to specific playlists, just like the Stimulus maps. With the Resurgence collection, however, it's possible that all of the maps will be available in every playlist, as long as "demand is high." And, as with the previous pack, the new maps will be exclusive (http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/01/modern-warfare-2-map-packs-hitting-xbox-live-first/) to Xbox 360 for a short time before coming to PC and PS3.

I think he means that he already had like 7 or 8 nukes, then it got reset when he prestiged. So he has to earn 10 all over again.

They are not easy to get in any aspect, you have to be in the zone and have a fair amount of luck and hopefully retarded enemies that dont shoot down air support.

OMALOL (one man army, two noob tunes, repeat)
Commando (rocket boots + heat seaking knife)
Danger Close (oh yes, because a perk can increase blast radius by 1.4x

and now, the fucking kicker...

There is a patch, that makes the stinger and AT4H has around a 10% chance to miss even when fucking locked in.

I fired 4 shots at a Pavelow tonight before I even hit it fucking once.

This game is very quickly going in the shitter, hopefully the next one isnt this fucked up.
