Don West’s heel turn on iMPACT this week seems like it came out of nowhere, but what he said about Mike Tenay actually does parallel his real-life reputation. Tenay has a reputation of being spineless at booking and production meetings dating back to his WCW days. The feeling was that he would never say what he knew needed to be said because he wanted to protect his job, and a lot of people resent Tenay for that. The fact that this was brought up on TV however was quite a twist. There’s no word on where they are going with this, but it’s been said that Tenay and West both have had bouts of insecurity about their positions as announcers in the past, so this does draw from reality.
When it comes to some of the things West said on iMPACT, there are some people within the company who really do feel that way about Tenay and were glad to see him called out for it on TV.
There are rumblings that Foley may be added to the announce team, but those are simply rumors at this point and shouldn’t be taken too seriously just yet.
Hopefully West will be gone soon. *prays*

I hate them both and actually wish TNA would replace them with some people who can actually shut up and let some things in the ring speak for themselves.

West really does have the QVC announcing, never stop talking just keep selling, thing. Plus he has a voice for silent pictures. Tenay is just so blah.

I have a hard time even giving enough of a damn to keep either of these losers.
Don West reminds me of that guy on the Inspiration (or whatever) channels that preaches about sewing seeds. (And taking your money)

I liked Tenay in WCW as a colour man. Just talking all the time as a play-by-play guy is annoying as fuck.

Joey Styles and Mick Foley would shake things up somewhat.
Can't think of anyone else I'd give a fuck about

Could West be a heel manager? In TNA of course. I havn't watched TNA in a long time and maybe he's changed but I doubt it. I think he could be a good heel manager. I think he could get Vickie-esque heat.

DW was actually really good for once last night, with his heel turn and all. He more like points out the logic in all the mess of TNA. Plus, it's amazing how much of a difference the commentating team has made with DW being a heel now.

Yeah, apparently Don West was actually interesting as a heel. Not great, but certainly more comfortable than his awkward face colour guy. Mike Tenay is actually a good commentator, he just needs someone a lot better to work with. Mike Tenay and Mick Foley would make a fantastic duo for TNA, I think.
Don West as a heel manager is something I'd like to see. I can just imagine him doing some backstage segments with guys, where he is trying to advertise them like he's on the shopping channel.

Oh, he's going to knife Steiner. Now it's classic TNA.
So, it was a blunt edged shank? or what? TNA is so stupid sometimes.

No, no, no. It is always ridiculously stupid. All they ever do is take whatever the hell major storylines are front-and-center in WWE, and create their own similar storylines/plots, slap it together into a 2-hour show every week and call it professional wrestling, when really all it is is their "creative team" (yes, in quotation marks) basically taking WWE's scripts and copy-and-pasting them, which is very lazy, and why TNA is an utterly inferior and unwatchable product when compared to WWE.
