His taunt is like the greatest thing. I was playing football the other day and when scored a touchdown I began to do his taunt. Got a bad reaction due to them not being a Dupree fan.

He obviously knows how to connect with the fans. He also has a heat seeking gimmick, and he's got a really good look. Now thats not enough to make a superstar, but he's on the right path. Also, being on Smackdown should help his cause.

I'm not going to say he'll be a top guy or anything but its clear with him being so young that he's got a shot.

The sad thing is that end zone taunt is far less fruity then most of the stuff they do in the NFL.

Call 'em Freedom Fries.

That which was associated with "france" is associated with "freedom."

That's some pretty stupid logic there.

Kane wasn't burned as a child?

Val Venis isn't really a porn star?

Undertaker's deadly new Finisher!?

Yep it's technically "Ren-ay Dup-ray" But that's the English/French pronunciation. It's really hard to pronounce foreign words correctly (and not sound forced) in an American accent because the phonetics are totally different.

To elaborate on SB's answer...

Actually, his name is René, not Renee; thus, "ee" is not responsible for the "ay" sound, the "é" is (it's an accented vowel sound that we don't often use in English). His last name...well, I'm not sure how it's pronounced, because I don't know the actual spelling. I'd assume that you're right, and it's supposed to be pronounced "Du-pray" (spelled Duprée) giving it that distinctive, French "ay" sound, rather than "ee."

Additionally...whee, phonetics are fun!

You're right. It's René Duprée, both sounding like "ay". Adding an "e" at René, making it Renée, would make it a girl's name.
