How do you have your Wii modded? I'm thinking of doing the same, but there are so many options and I would like to hear your feedback.

AssMan now.
The best option right now The Homebrew Channel, which allows you to play emulators of pretty much any system that can be emulated, except N64 has some issues and apparently DVDs won't play if your firmware is upgraded, so don't do that. Anyway, you'll need:
SD Card (2GB should be enough)
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Twilight Hack (Get it here: http://hbc.hackmii.com/download/ )
Wii Remote (and nunchuk!)
Wii
WinZip
I did it rather manually, but I think they released this thing that made it mad easy, but I forget what that's called. You could look for that, or follow the way that I did it, which was this:
Step 1: Turn on the Wii. Put the SD card in the Wii, too.
Step 2: Press A on the Wii Button on the bottom right, then Data Management, then Save Data, then Wii. Look for the Zelda Twilight Princess Save file and copy it over to the SD card. Turn off the Wii after copying the file over.
(if you don't have a Zelda save file, don't worry about that. You just need to make sure the Twilight Hack file is the only Zelda data on your Wii)
Step 3: Take the SD Card out of the Wii, and put it in the computer.
Step 4: Click on Start, then My Computer, then the Removable Disk with the SD Card.
Step 5: Go to private, then Wii, then title, and copy the RZDE folder over to your Desktop. (Or somewhere you can remember that that's the REAL save file. Don't mess around with this, or your Zelda save file is GONE.)
Step 6: Un-Zip the Zip file I'm providing, and place Boot.elf, the apps folder... everything in the .zip in the Removable Disk. (In the same folder private is in. Replace private with the new folder private, too.) You can get the .zip here (http://www.mediafire.com/?htjzbdnmx0e). (Note: Be patient when downloading and copying the files. This is a HUGE amount of memory.)
Step 7: When the transfer is done, go to the private folder, then Wii, then title, and rename the TwilightHack folder to RZDE. Take out the SD Card and put it in the Wii when you’re done.
Step 8: Go to the Wii Button, then Data Management, and then Save Data, then Wii. Click on the SD Card tab and copy "Twilight Hack" over to the Wii.
Step 9: Turn the data in the game disk over to the data side (the side without the print) and look at the inner rim of the disk. It should say something like RVL-RZDE-0A-x. If the disk says 0 where the x is, then start up the Zelda game, and load up file 1. If the disk says 2 where the x is, start up the 2nd file. DO NOT LOAD UP THE OTHER SAVEFILE, BECAUSE IF YOU DO, YOUR WII WILL FREEZE! THIS IS FOR THE OTHER VERSION OF TWILIGHT PRINCESS!!
Step 10: As soon as the game starts, walk up to the man in front of you. A black screen with text should pop up.
Step 11: Ignore what it says. It's just a buncha warnings. Just keep hitting 1 on your Wii remote until the Wii resets itself.
Step 12: You have the Homebrew Channel! The only way it'll work is if you have the SD Card in the Wii. (It has to be THAT specific SD Card. If not, it won't work.)
Set: NES> Extension: .nes> should go in the fceu>roms folder.
Set: SNES> Extension: .fig, .smc> doesn’t matter which folder. I put mine in the snessave>roms folder.
Set: Sega Genesis: Extension: .bin> should go in the genplus>roms folder.
Set: Virtual Console: Extension: .wad> Put these games in the wad folder.
Set: Gameboy/Color: Extension: .gbc, .gb> Put these games in the GBCROMS folder.
Set: Gameboy Advance: Extension: .gba> Put these games in the VBA>ROMS folder.
~ Part 2: Putting The Zelda: Twilight Princess File Back On The Wii ~
If you try to start up Zelda: TP, you may notice your save file's not there. Here's how to get it back.
Step 1: Remember when you put the Zelda: TP file on your computer? Step 5: Go to private, then Wii, then title, and copy the RZDE folder over to your Desktop. (Or somewhere you can remember that that's the REAL save file. Don't mess around with this, or your Zelda save file is GONE.) We're going to be using that again.
Step 2: Go to Start, then My Computer, then the Removable Disk with the SD Card, then Wii, then title. Replace the RZDE folder with the one in Step 5.
Step 3: Put the SD Card in the Wii.
Step 4: Go to the Wii Button, then Data Management, and then Save Data, then Wii. Delete the Twilight Hack off of the Wii. (Don't worry. This isn't the Homebrew Channel.)
Step 5: Go to the SD Card tab, and copy the Zelda: Twilight Princess File back to the Wii.
Step 6: Start up Zelda: Twilight Princess. Your save file should be back.
Final: Congrats! You have both your Zelda save file back with the Homebrew Channel on your Wii!
If your Wii is online, you can go into the Homebrew Downloader from the Homebrew Channel menu thing and update/download all of your emulators cause those will be outdated. If you're not online, then I suggest trying to download that thing that made it mad easy I talked about which I am currently trying to find
Seriously hope you just copy and pasted all that stuff. I thought you had it modded to play backups. I'm not interested in doing emulators, because my DS does that. I want to play back up WIi games. Sorry guy if you did type all that. Maybe someone else will get some use with it. :wavesad:

Assman, as you're really the only person on here that still raves about the Wii, what games are you enjoying? (bar Nintendo made ones and MadWorld as I already have those)

Well honestly we got kinda bored with the Wii games. Everyone was into Wii Sports for a while, but we stopped playing that, then we were into Super Smash which we still play sometimes but unlocked most of it and don't play that much, then it was Mario Kart Wii but I spent a while getting gold on every single fucking cup and I have no desire to play that anymore. Of course Mario Galaxy and Twilight Princess were great but both got stolen, didn't get too far in TP. Right now I'm mainly using the Wii to play Mother 3 which is great, but that's a GBA game. MadWorld looks incredible and I just found out about it yesterday. I've got the Star Wars Lightsaber Duels game on the way and we're pretty excited for that, so I'll tell you how it goes. Also there is this game WarioWare Smooth Moves which looks awesome, so I might get that. Pikmin on the Wii just came out and I never played it on GC so I am gonna get that, and I am really looking forward to Punch-Out too.

WarioWare is great when playing with other people, addictive as fuck.
MadWorld is the best game on Wii just because of how hilarious the entire game is. First non-Nintendo Wii game that has really hooked me. I gotta burn that Wario:Shake It, not played it yet.

But ya, G: Follow the link that VC posted. I've got a real modchip in mine but it's pointless now as the software hacks are better and more compatible.

There's also this softmod that is supposedly even more compatible with games than Backup Launcher: http://softmii.org/v2/downloads

Having just applied SoftMii, I can say that it works. Only have House of the Dead Overkill for now, but it loaded right up.

Oh the other game we have is Marvel Ultimate Alliance. It's pretty cool, you just go around killing stuff. I mean I guess it's cooler with the Wii controls I dunno
