Normally I don't post these, but this will be making the rounds within the hour anyway.

According to Mike Johnson on a PWInsider elite hotline, HOWARD FINKEL is the next to be inducted into the HOF!

The fact that Hulk Hogan got in before the Fink still makes me wanna cry...

So who'll induct The Fink?

He is the greatest ring announcer ever

He should do the introduction to the Royal Rumble every year.

Who will introduce the hall of fame class this year then? Hasn't Fink done it every year?

I would  if he still did it, and when he got to himself he just said "MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

What about another ring announcer? Maybe Buffer, or I'd even settle for Lillian Garcia.

He should do the introduction to the Royal Rumble every year.

Agreed. He should at least be the guy to go through the Royal Rumble rules and do the introductions for the WrestleMania Main Event every year.

A little piece of me dies whenever Lillian Garcia stumbles through the Rumble rules.

I think that the President for Hair club for Men should induct. :)

What about another ring announcer? Maybe Buffer, or I'd even settle for Lillian Garcia.

If it was me, I'd pick Buffer ftw; a legendary MSG announcer inducting a legendary WWF/E announcer would be awesome.

My money is on someone like Pat Patterson or Gene Oakerland inducting him

The HOF package for The Fink was pretty good...can't find a video of it online yet, though. I'm sure they'll show it on SmackDown and Raw, though.

On a related note, the package they put together for Orton's attack on Raw was fantastic. Everything they've produced for this feud has made everything look 100 times better

Excerpt from a post by Fink on WWE Universe:

Finally, I just want to take this opportunity to comment on my forthcoming induction into WWE's Hall of Fame, Class of 2009: It is an elite honor to be recognized for what I have brought to the table, as it relates to the ring announcing that I have done through the years. I love what I do in the ring, am passionate about it, and continue to enjoy it today when the opportunity presents itself. Everything else that has happened to me from a standpoint of "ha-ha" (thanks for the term, Chief!) was what it was; that was all just a part of being "The Fink". I look forward to April 4, and am equally delighted that the one and only Mean Gene Okerlund will do the honors of presenting me on that evening. Oh, by the way: To Matt Striker and Todd Grisham: Thanks for the kind words. And a special note to Matt: Imitation is the greatest form of flattery, but your "Good Evening, Houston" mention from last night on ECW-TV would have had Chuck Barris' group of Rex Reed, Jaye P. Morgan, and Rip Taylor (for those of you who remember; I'm dating myself) "GONG" you for your efforts!!!

I don't know why I'm marking so hard for Fink going into the HOF, but I am. Seriously hope it's on the USA broadcast.
