I made the statement in another thread that I think of TNA as WCW-2. Xero brought up a good point that TNA is a lot of the bad things about WCW, motley being Vice Russo.
I think TNA has a lot of potential, but they need someone who could capitalize on it. I would love to see Heyman brought in to take charge of the creative end of things. Lord knows he could turn out a product that could give WWE a run for there money.
Unfortunately I remember hearing that Heyman had some sort of no compete clause with Vince that wont allow him to be involved in wrestling promotions anymore? Is this true? And do you think Heyman's style could take TNA to the top?

Heymen is old news. Seriously, get the fuck over it and move on with the times (Vince Russo is worse yes).

How about we let internet fans armchair book the entire industry until it's a pile of nondescript ashes?

It can't all be Russo's fault. I mean seriously, if two companies (one which is often blamed on Russo for failing, the other for failing at the moment) have/had so much riding on one guy then they deserve to fail.

It's not Russo entirely, but he needs a filter. In the WWF, it was Vince, and a lot of his shit ideas got filtered out (I have a theory they've gone back and used some of them over the past six years or so). In WCW and TNA he pretty much had/has free range and just throws anything he likes up there.

In the end, it's the people who give Russo all this power that cause the promotion to fail (not just because of Russo, but everything as a whole). I don't think TNA is failing. If they stay as they are and don't expand I'd imagine they'd do pretty well, assuming they're not hemorrhaging money, which I haven't heard anything about in a while. But they need to expand if they want to draw in more, and with Russo at the creative helm they're fucked.

Heyman in TNA would be good. I mean at the end of the day we wouldn't know unless it happened, but I wouldn't mind seeing it, to see what he can do with TNA's talent without all the bullshit that went on in WWE.

Heyman alone couldn't make TNA awesome. He could improve the booking and characters/gimmicks, but one man will not be TNA's savior (see Christian, Angle, Sting, Nash, Steiner, Foley). They both have completely different styles, but I'd love to see both Cornette and Heyman in charge of TNA. I really don't know how well they can work together, but if they were given power and could work well together they could do wonders for that company.

I think TNA's problems might be coming from above the positions of the writers/bookers.

Dixie Carter, Jeff Jarrett and Vince Russo do not know what the fuck they're doing. Seriously. That place is a mess, and every wrestler who has left has noted the terrible creative direction as a primary reason for doing so. Until they get new management and take on a new direction, TNA is growing nowhere.
