I dunno if anyone else has noticed, as I just did now, after months of not playing this, but criterion has been pumping out ridiculous amounts of dlc for this game.
Never noticed, as they never have anything on marketplace's main page about it. So yeah, if you have this, and havn't checked it out in a while, do so, cause there is a ton of new shit available.
About to download a new car that supposedly flys after hitting a jump? lol dunno, will have to report back on that one.

It's a knock off of the DeLorean from Back to the Future. I thik they have a few other knock off cars.

AND/OR KA-KOW!
Didn't even know about the other "celeb" vehicles, or the upcoming new island and cops and robbers mode.
This is seriously some harmonix level effort on criterion's part.

Yeah when I seen the support the game has I decided to give it a try.

Pretty much the best racing game ever, imo.
Fuck that simulation crap. 500 cars in GT, and not one is as fun to use as most of the shit in BOP

Looking back, I was really impressed with the demo, I just figured 'this was how racing games were' at the time. After sampling some racers since, I see how many things BOP did just right. It can be pretty laid back and then wild.
Random quip: Midnight Club LA is a hot mess.

Pick it up, BOP is only $30 now. In Canada. That means it's probably only $20 in the US. Worth your Jackson, nucca.

I have everything but the toy cars.

I saw all this advertised. I had no idea it wasn't covered on the marketplace. Then again, a lot of the premium DLC is ridiculously overpriced, so I've just been downloading the free stuff.

Yeah, played the crap out of this game. Might have to see what's up with the DLC on PC.

Does anyone know if I can delete the other patches if I've downloaded 1.8? they're a few hundred megs a pop, don't wanna try it and then have to re-download them

Also, I've bought everything for this game, probably because they gave so much away free. No-one has wanted to play party mode though :(
I still don't get the excuse for not having online road rage either.

K, just brought this over to a friends house, and I am forced to take back everything good I ever said about the dlc for this.
You have to buy 2 player split screen. Otherwise it is online multiplayer only. That is the biggest load of bullshit I've ever seen since the DLC concept started. Totally inexcusable. Should have been included in a patch.
I mean what's next?
"For 400 MS points, players will have the ability to use brakes!"

You do remember Oblivion's horse armor, right? I think that's still DLC bullshit champion.

Does the braking probem only apply to Toyotas in-game? :shifty:

Making you pay for local multiplayer seems way worse than the horse armor to me.

Ehhhh, I'd call it a tie.

Gotta agree here. Horse armour is a rip-off in terms of price, but it's mostly superfluous content. Hell, Paradise's own cars seem like a worse rip-off than the armour, and they're not even the worst offenders (Five bucks for a reskinned fighter jet, Ace Combat?).
I honestly think Horse Armour's still the main complaint mostly because it was one of the earliest examples and part of a popular game. It's more like a meme than a real argument.
Also, I'm still stunned at 4 bucks for a pack of SFIV Alt costumes. And I've spent like 50,000 dollars on rock Band content.
Leaving out Split-Screen play and then reintroducing it for a fee is far worse.
BTW, Figgy, what pack does split-screen? Is it the party pack? I so would have bought that, but I read it didn't add split-screen, that the offline additions were essentially "pass the controller," in the vein of the old Crash mode, but sans the actual crash mode.

I don't remember tbh.
I don't care how little it's priced either. It could be 80MS points, and it would still be bullshit.

I agree.
It's bullshit. It's certainly worse than Horse Armour in terms of content.
On a related note, do you have this for the PS3 or 360?
I have it and BSI for the 360, but I just noticed the other day that if you buy the game and DLC on the PSN, it's only 30 bucks. I'd spend more than that without even completing what the PSN version offiers.
It's 30 bucks for the game plus all the DLC (Far as I can tell) and 20 bucks for just the DLC. I'm not saying it's not a rip-off to offer offline split-screen, but considering I'm probably just going to spend the 30 anyway, it won't bug me at much.
I hate having to pay extra to "complete" a game, though. I don't care about the horse armours or costumes or extra cars, but if you leave out features so you can add them for a fee, that's dishonest. Especially when it's shit like Multiplayer.

I have it for 360. Bought it when it came out.
Has the price for individual dlc items dropped to coincide with that new bundle? Would be a kick in the nuts for people like me, who bought the game when it came out, if they didn't.

Not to my knowledge.
The PS version is effectively the console version of the "Ultimate box" for the PC. I'm actually kinda irked that they didn't do it for the 360 as well, since it seems to be the only place the prices are still normal.
I'm still kinda irked, because I either need to re-buy a game to take advantage of it, or just keep buying crap on the marketplace at a larger price.

Yeah, that's pretty awful. Havn't bought cops and robbers yet, and I think that alone is like 800 MS points. Pretty sure I've bought all of the cars I want though. Those toy cars can fuck right off.
