I remember right around when Honky Tonk Man, and Roddy Piper were making online headlines with the things they were saying, and doing on their websites, the Macho Man jumped on the band wagon by attempting to do the same with his page. This was all around 2001-2003. The Macho Man's site was a members only site though, and one had to pay to be apart of it, which explains why his website never got over nearly as big as Honky's, and Piper's in my humble opinion.

Anyhow, I'm sure many of you all remember his infamous rap video, as well as his challenge for a shoot match with Hulk Hogan. Well, I recently found this old clip on you tube that was a members only clip featured on his webpage a few years ago:

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/jzFC0RcefS8&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/jzFC0RcefS8&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Then I listened to this old 2001, or 2002 shoot interview he did:

<object width="480" height="295"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/7R7HIQcTWLc&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/7R7HIQcTWLc&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="295"></embed></object>

All this, and also added with the fact that Randy Savage was not in the Legends of Wrestlemania game, and has never been asked to be in the WWE HOF, got the wheels in my head turning a bit in regards of what the Macho Man is doing now......

Now even though I don't agree his comments about Hogan, and despite that I thought it was funny that a man his age was trying to look, and sound like a young black thug, I still admit, he looked great. The first clip, and his cameo in Spider-Man proved it, and it's a shame he never was given one last run in the WWE when he was still strong, and mean looking enough.

Anyhow, I did some research, and this may be old news to you guys, but it may be new to others. It was to me. Take a look at this:

http://www.tmz.com/2008/11/19/what-a-savage/

He really looks his age there. It's a shame people have to age. I think a chances of a comeback now would be slim, to none.

He's already showed up in TNA in that condition, so it's not entirely out of the question.

I've always wondered if Savage has a "real" voice, or if he's always naturally talked like that, or if his voice has just warped to fit it after all these years.

That is his real voice. He talks like that because he hasn't taken a shit since 1983.

He would be pretty well suited for animated films actually. I don't know how many kids today would recognize his voice, but plenty of dads and probably teens would pick up on it easily.

Does anyone know where I can find the old article about the time Macho Man refused to step outside and fight Hogan at the NWEA-TNA event, and how Savage wouldn't go back without bodyguards? Anyone remember that story. I remember Savage never said another word about Hogan after that. Savage spent all that time, bad mouthing Hogan to get attention, and when it was time to put up or shut up.....Savage shut up. :)

There's another article I recall reading back then about how when Savage tried to sing his rap song at a live concert, Bubba the Love Sponge showed up with thousands upon thousands of Hulkamanics and booed and hassled him so much, Savage just left.

THEN there was the time Bubba the Love Sponge released a bunch of questions" he wanted people to ask the Macho Man. I remembered I e-mailed him those, but I never got a response. I suspected he was getting a lot of e-mails like mine.

I have respect for the man, and the character, but I've always been a Hogan mark. I don't agree with everything he has said or done, but he'll always have my loyalty.

No, he wasn't. Brad Garrett has done the voice for Lobo for both the Superman series and Justice League. Macho Man has never voiced anything for DC.

Get your shit straight.

Nevermind. I found it.

Hulk Hogan stopped by Victory Road last night with longtime friend Brian Nobbs. We're told Hogan gave a conciliatory comment to Savage and he responded with a smart remark and then walked away. It was very brief from what we've been told.

Randy Savage arrived with Brian Adams, formerly of Kronic. Hulk Hogan and Nobbs showed up in a fancy new car owned by Hogan.

Despite making his debut at the Victory Road PPV this past Sunday, Randy Savage called TNA officials earlier this afternoon and informed them that he would be pulling out of all future apppearances with the company. According to a strong source who was backstage at tonight's Impact! taping in Orlando, Savage reportedly told TNA officials that the company had a quote "unsafe working environment." This obviously has to do with Savage's highly documented backstage run-in with Hulk Hogan at the PPV on Sunday.

Although this is far from confirmed, it appears that during the conversation that Savage and Hogan had, Hogan offered to step outside with Savage to settle their differences - something Savage had challenged Hogan to do publicly for quite some time. Hogan also offered to simply ignore the past and move on. Savage ignored both comments and simply walked away.

Savage was scheduled to make an appearance at the Impact! tapings tonight and to take part in the Main Event at the next TNA PPV Turning Point where he would team with Monty Brown and AJ Styles to take on Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. With Savage deciding however, those plans have no doubt changed.

Then I found this one:

Syndicated morning show D.J. Bubba The Love Sponge talked about the show daily for the week or so leading up to the event (heard locally on 98 Rock). Bubba and Savage have a long-running feud, and Bubba encouraged his listeners to come out in full force to let Randy know exactly what they thought about him.

When I got to Mr. B's (the restaurant/bar where the event was held), there was a swarm of people outside of the building, many adorned in bright yellow shirts. Bubba had promised a shirt giveaway on the radio, and those were the shirts. On the front read "Hulk Hogan Rules" and on the back "Macho Man Sucks" with "Proud Member of the Bubba Army" written below. I was too late for the free shirts.

Mr. B's was refusing to let anyone else inside at that point -- especially those who were wearing the yellow shirts. However, others who walked right up were let inside, no problem. Apparently the idea was to prevent hecklers from making it inside. That idea ended up failing. A slew of off-duty cops kept the peace out front as best they could.

Brian Adams (Crush) and Macho Man arrived together in a limo. There were a few cheers... and then a chorus of boos from angry Bubba fans. People were shouting things like "Nubain" and "crapped your pants at Gold's Gym" at Randy. I was amazed at the scene.

A cover band was inside playing as a warm-up, and I managed to finally get through the doors. The venue was tiny, hardly the scene for a serious concert.

The performance itself was horrendous. Remember the Milli Vanilli incident in 1990 where their CD started skipping at a concert? That's what happened three songs into this show. Macho was lip-synching to his music, trying his best to ignore the overwhelming boos and jeers from the crowd. Unfortunately for Randy, the CD started skipping. Oops. He kept lip-synching until Adams gave him the sign to stop. They tried to compose themselves, but ultimately the rowdy crowd and equipment problems were too much to handle. Randy slammed down the mic and ended the show abruptly.

Overall, the show was great on the unintentional comedy side of things. As a serious performer, though, Savage doesn't stand a chance. I felt bad for Randy up there on stage. Someone has given him some bad advice on this one. He'd be better off working for MLW here in Florida -- as a wrestler, not a rap singer.

Find some more info: This was back in 2003/2004.

"Close-friend of Hulk Hogan, and major Florida radio jockey Bubba the Love Sponge recently took shots at "Macho Man" Randy Savage. He did this because Savage was badmouthing his friend, Hulk Hogan, on WrestleZone Radio. He asked his listeners to ask Savage eight questions if they ever saw him:"

(1) Why did Gorgeous George break up with you? Is it because you tried to have a three-way with her and her sister?
(2) Did Road Warrior Hawk really kick your ass backstage at a Kid Rock concert?
(3) Did Brutus Beefcake really kick your ass and pull your pants down at Hogan's house?
(4) Did you really shit your pants at Gold's Gym?
(5) Why did you shave your eyebrows?
(6) Do you use hairplugs?
(7) What is Nubain, and how much do you spend on it per month?
(8) Why did Elizabeth break up with you and get with Lex Luger?"
