I just watched them in that handicap match on Smackdown and I've been wondering, since there not too big in the tag team division anymore should they split them up or keep them together? Jesse obviously has his father's name he could use to start with. Maybe have him turn heel on Festus, and give him that Freebird's cockyness and swagger that his father use to have. Maybe they can have a reveal that Festus is actually intelligent and was just acting savagely (kinda like when they revealed Fatu wasnt a samoan wildman). Or they could take him off air for a little while, bring him back with a new gimmick and ring attire. I think that there ability to draw as a tag team has kinda run out personally, I think that a split could be an interesting change to the mid card on Smackdown.

Yeah, no. Fuck these two. The best they could do is make them credible again to build out the tag division. That should be their role.

While I would like to see J&F stay as a team to help the tag team scene, it's clear WWE does not care about tag teams. If either of them have a chance at fame, split 'em.
Jesse would be alright if they let everyone know he's 2nd gen. Seriously, Jesse is better than CAWdy, and have him drop his country bumpkin gimmick.
As of Festus, give him a heel manager. A Bobby The Brain, or J.J. Dillion. Someone who "bought this idiot's contract to make me a lot of money!"

You know if Festus got hot piece of ass for a mouth piece and they kept him the same way. I bet he could make a good US or IC champ. Just a good contender for the a world title. I am not saying put it on him but he is very good and moves very fast for aguy his size. Does anyone think fued between him and the Undertaker or Umaga would be very good to watch?

I say split them. I love tag team wrestling as much as the next guy, but there are far more important teams to focus on. Both Jesse & Festus, as a tandem, add up to less than a sum of their parts. Jesse is actually really damn talented, and his role as Festus' keeper doesn't really let him showcase that. He could make a great member for Legacy, or something. When Shelton Benjamin and MVP move up to the main event, there is no reason he cannot have a solid run with the US Title.
Festus is apparently pretty young, and he is really good at playing a character. He doesn't annoy me as much as most men of his size, and he's pretty fucking over. Keep him as a face wherever they need one, and let the fans connect to him, and see where he goes.

I love the team, I find it said that people don't seem to give a damn.

I think Jesse would be a good manager to Festus.

Festus should be an entirely viable midcarder for at least the next decade, and Gordy's kid should, ideally, be more. In practice, I expect them to be fired within six months.

That is exactly how I feel about them. Jesse turning heel on Festus and joining Legacy, or something, would actually be a pretty shocking moment. Some of the moves Jesse pulls out during a match actually wow me. He's got a lot of talent, and he's agile while not really being small. The guy has got a wealth of potential.
